I'm having the "tearing" issue on my system.

Windows 7 x64, 2 Gb RAM
AMD 4850e (2.8 GHz)
ATI 5450 connected via HDMI

Problem: When I play MKV movies with 1080p in XBMC I see a tearing effect very often when I activate DXVA2.

I used to have the same issue with MPC:HC until they introduced the tearing fix quite a long time ago - it only works in some specific combination though (written on their website). So with MPC:HC the same video works flawlessly. Hope to see this fixed soon in XBMC I'll only use this one I guess Smile

Did you swithed vertical sync on? It is somewhere under video settings menu in xbmc.
