[LIVE] Does my boot up look right? Video link - xbmcHerb - 2010-02-02

Hi everybody,

I've watched a few videos of XBMC booting. I haven't seen one like mine.

Could you all take a minute and tell me if it looks right to you?

How about the speed of the transitions in the main menu?

Revo 1600 2GB RAM / 160GB HD / Live 9.11 v10

Please ignore the chomping sounds Wink

Thanks.

The boot time looks about the same as mine - goes through the same steps too.

I have an R3600 with 2GB of RAM too.

What skin is that? Aeon?

- xbmcHerb - 2010-02-02

Aeon65

How long time to start a mp3 for you guys?

It takes about 10 sek for me , the same time to skip next song : (

Play mp3s and changing tracks is pretty snappy for me. Hardly a delay at all.

I've heard rumour - although never used it myself that Aeon can be a bit "punishing" for the single-core atoms.... if you are having transition problems between menus etc - maybe that could be an issue?

Still - boot looks good! Smile

Boot looks about the same as mine.
I don't think you'll get much faster boot than that.

As for starting stuff - it's all instant for me, unless the hard drives need to spin up, in which case it takes a few seconds for the system to respond.

I never actually timed mine but yours seems just a tad slow.

The booting up look is the same as mine.
