SVN Repo Installer....wont - mcopas - 2010-02-08

Hi All,

I am just trying this out for the first time on a Karmic Ubuntu machine...all wenk OK except for the repo installs...Ive put the files in /usr/share/xbmc/plugins/programs as per the following

Adding the XBMC SVN Repo Installer

In Ubuntu the SVN Repositories are not automatically added. You must add them manually.

* First, download the SVN Repo Installer from:
* http://xbmc-addons.googlecode.com/svn/packages/plugins/programs/SVN_Repo_Installer.zip
* Extract it to the ~/.xbmc/plugins/programs directory.
* Select XBMC Media Center: Applications -> Sound & Video -> XBMC Media Center
* Scroll down to Programs.
* Select program plugins.
* Select SVN Repo Installer
* Select xbmc-addons
* Select plugins
* Choose the plugins that you want to add (i.e., videos)

However when running XBMC and entering 'programs' I cant see what the instructions say I should see Huh ....therefore (I am guessing) when adding sources all I can see are the directories and not the sources them selvesHuh

I am running the latest 9.11 version

Please any help is appreciated. Big Grin

THanks

Can it be that you confuse "sources" with "plugins"?

I do not really understand your post. Can You maybe give an example like "I tried to install the VideoMonkey plugin but when I try to use it I cannot watch the ZDF Mediathek". Or something like "I tried to add my NAS as a source to play videos but it doesn't show up under VIDEOS".

Your description of what you did with the SVN Repo Installer looks good.

BTW: In case of you are using the 9.11 LiveCD there seems to be a bug with the SVN Repo Installer anyway: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=69453
