RE: [RELEASE] Rom Collection Browser - Browse and launch emulator game ROMs - James_liv - 2013-12-01 (2013-12-01, 14:05)teeedubb Wrote: Are they all the same file extension? Some are. The n64 ones all are. 1 is showing in the RCB window 2 aren't. The Dolphin/GameCube game is an ISO and doesn't show. The Megadrive/Genesis game is a zip and doesn't. The C64 doesn't and is a different extension again. RE: [RELEASE] Rom Collection Browser - Browse and launch emulator game ROMs - James_liv - 2013-12-02 Anyone help? Please? RE: [RELEASE] Rom Collection Browser - Browse and launch emulator game ROMs - malte - 2013-12-02 Maybe you have accidently set some filters? What is shown in the filter panel? What skin and what XBMC version are you using? Here you will find some info how to find your log file. Please show me a log after you opened RCB and moved around. You could also do a rescrape of the games and show me a log file after you did this. Then we will see if RCB really imports the games into its db. RE: [RELEASE] Rom Collection Browser - Browse and launch emulator game ROMs - James_liv - 2013-12-02 There are no filters set. The log file is here:- http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=92715 The 3 games which show up fine are Mario 64, Sonic and Mario Kart. None of the others show up despite the scrape successfully recognising and pulling the artwork for them. Thanks in advance RE: [RELEASE] Rom Collection Browser - Browse and launch emulator game ROMs - James_liv - 2013-12-02 Sorry, it's experien1080 or something like that and Frodo 12.2 RE: [RELEASE] Rom Collection Browser - Browse and launch emulator game ROMs - malte - 2013-12-03 The games are just not scraped. In the log it says "RCB_WARNING: No description found for game "Zelda 64". Game will not be imported." Not sure if and when it scraped the artwork. Problem is that there is no game named "Zelda 64" in the online databases and you have set your scrapers to "Accurate". That means that it will ignore all games that are not matching 100%. You should try to import again with "Interactive". Then you can choose which game to scrape. RE: [RELEASE] Rom Collection Browser - Browse and launch emulator game ROMs - James_liv - 2013-12-03 Thanks, I've set it to 'interactive' and it does exactly the same thing. I can post the log of that too if you like but it makes no difference. I then renamed the games exactly what it said when it asked me to select them so to avoid any confusion but again, it made no difference. Also, I'm getting this on about 6 games. Crash bandicoot, micro machines v3, Zelda oracana of time, Zelda Majoris mask, Zelda the wind waker, myth and a few others. RE: [RELEASE] Rom Collection Browser - Browse and launch emulator game ROMs - malte - 2013-12-03 Yes, please show me a log of this, too. RE: [RELEASE] Rom Collection Browser - Browse and launch emulator game ROMs - James_liv - 2013-12-03 (2013-12-03, 14:10)malte Wrote: Yes, please show me a log of this, too. Thanks for helping me. Really appreciate it. Ok, so I deleted the rom collection and re-added it. It doesn't ask me for most of them now but still asks for both N64 Zelda games, I select the game and it still doesn't show up in the menu. I've tried changing the scrapers too. Log is here http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=93007 Thanks again. RE: [RELEASE] Rom Collection Browser - Browse and launch emulator game ROMs - malte - 2013-12-03 Looks like all game are imported now. Please close XBMC and restart it (this will clear the log and start a new one, so it will be easier to read). Then switch RCB to Debug Log Level in Addon Settings and just open RCB and show me this log file. I hope I will find some info about RCBs database requests. Some issues that you also might check: - Sometimes you accidently enable a filter in the filter pane. Make sure that everything is set to "All" and you don't have enabled the "Favorites" button or entered a value on the "Search" button. (From your previous posts it looks like all the games that you can see start with "S", so maybe there is some active filter) - Also make sure that the "missing info filter" is not set to anything - You should also check if it works when switching to another skin (Confluence would be best for testing) RE: [RELEASE] Rom Collection Browser - Browse and launch emulator game ROMs - James_liv - 2013-12-03 Agggghhhhhh!!!! Filter was on 'S' as you suggested!!! I'd clicked 'all' so many times and it doesn't seem to effect that end coloum. Thank you!!!!!!!!! RE: [RELEASE] Rom Collection Browser - Browse and launch emulator game ROMs - malte - 2013-12-04 Good news RE: [RELEASE] Rom Collection Browser - Browse and launch emulator game ROMs - g3kk0 - 2013-12-04 I'm trying to get RCB working for the first time but have a strange issue where after the games are imported I see nothing. I'm running a clean install of Frodo 12.2 on Windows 7 Pro with the Confluence skin. RCB is at the latest version (2.0.10) and I'm simply testing with zsnes and a few roms (all are local, no network shares). When I first load RCB I see the config file is missing as expected and run through the wizard to get things imported and my games get picked up. Once RCB has finished the import it spits me to what I assume to be the screen that should list the games but I see nothing listed (see link below). Initially thought this may be due to filtering but when I try to access it I see "Control with id:0 could not be found. Check WindowsXML file". http://picpaste.com/IMG_20131204_092501-pqIGb0aJ.jpg I can confirm the import is making it into the DB as I've used SQLite Browser to check. You can find a copy of the xbmc.log with RCB log level set to debug here http://pastebin.com/dvSz6L5R I'd really like to use this plugin as I miss all my old game on the big screen. Any help would be much appreciated. I love this addon and use it all the time to emulate a number of systems, but I can't get my MAME collection to scrape appropriately so I need a hand. It was obviously a lot easier back in the MAWS days. I've gone through that HowToAddMAMEOffline wiki guide, but it always gives me an error at the same spot. I install EmuMovies, download the artwork, download the text file with descriptions and the parser file. I add the ROM collection, follow through the instructions (using *.7z instead of *.zip for the file mask), point the correct RCB artwork to the correct MAME folder, get to the prompt where it asks if I'd like to add another ROM collection. I say "No" and before I get to hit "cancel" (the next step on the instructions, it comes back with an error. "Error reading config.xml" If I quit out of RCB at this stage, I can't reopen it or else I get the same error. If I go into the config.xml and delete all references to the MAME Rom collection and the MAME scraper, it works as it used to, but without the MAME collection. I'm happy to post the config.xml file and the xbmc.log file if it will help someone work out what's going on. RE: [RELEASE] Rom Collection Browser - Browse and launch emulator game ROMs - aoaaron - 2013-12-10 Hi, can someone please give me a list of instructions to allow me to open Dolphin games and play them through this... and close dolphin and go back to XBMC GUI? I can open PCSX2 games fine but closing the window means I need to use the mouse. I have an XBMC media centre remote, can it be programmed to close PCSX2? if so, what steps do I need to use and programs? Autohotkey? how do i program it to close PCSX2? Thanks! |
