Heck my monitor only goes to 1400x900, TV goes to 1368x768 and I'm comfortable in the 720 skinning camp...

Plus I wouldn't go out of my way to skin down to the xbox. If it works, that really cool. If not, oh well. But after my first little test if you have a setting to check fanart off and check off views you don't want it might be possible.

Smile I can't wait to try this skin out. Looks really good. Only problem for me is the home menu. It doesn't give me that wow feeling as the rest of the skin does.

A couple 'watched' overlays for opinion:

One:

Two

Three

Four

I have no dog in this fight, personally I don't use them. I like #1 but I can see how that might be too much. #2 is solid probably wont rock the boat, is there but out of the way. My second choice is #3 or #4... they are there, noticable, but take up a small aea.

Number one is nice, though i think i would get tired of it after a while.
Third choice is the best, folowed by the second choice.Nod

I agree with your earlier statement in another post that the checkmark is played out...Plus I'd perfer to have whatever is the choice in the bottom to not obscure the covers.

- hikaricore - 2010-04-02

Number 2 seems nice without getting intrusive, the others might cause soreness of the eyes. ^_^
I guess whatever looks best in all the view modes.

- ValiantXI - 2010-04-02

I think number 1 is great. Its truely something different. Second choice is number 2.

- MarkTaunton - 2010-04-02

I personally hide watched media, but sometimes I fall asleep during a movie (old age) so I have to find that movie and watch it all the way through.

Personally all four look good, but my top one is 1 followed by 2, 3 and 4 don't seem to really say much, a tick might be better than the other symbols.

It's a shame that you cannot have multiple choice to have the selection of all four within the skin.

- Hitcher - 2010-04-02

The only thing to consider with 1 and 2 is the length of the string when it's translated.

- Montellese - 2010-04-02

I'd be all for number 2. On first glance I really liked the idea of number 1 but after looking at it several times I prefer number 2 as it still shows the whole cover.

- Hitcher - 2010-04-02

Just checked the language strings and some translations are double the length of the English 'Watched' and I'm sure you don't want them scrolling.

- rcoops - 2010-04-02

Number 2 would be my choice though I would put a little thin line about the black bar to show that this is a separate thing from the cover, it might as you see on the "Wicker Park" cover be unclear if this is part of the dark bottom of the cover or a overlay applied by the skin. (rare cases I admit but not impossible)

Another option would be to provide the user with a choice screen. Let them pick what they like where you simply define the position. That way if I get sick of option 1 I can pick option 3 or go for a new option delivered by a different skinner. Eek

- Batemann - 2010-04-02

The Second one! The first is way too much, compared to the rest of the skin.
I don't like the icons used, so that leaves me with option 2. ;-) It's clean and neat.

- mcborzu - 2010-04-02

Yea I probably go with something along the lines of #2...#1 looks nice on a screenshot but would be too much, plus translating would really screw it up.

- paul - 2010-04-02

If you were to go with option 3 or 4 the end user could easily change the icon to a tick mark or whatever he or she prefersNod
