id rather not have to set all the season images myself as it was automated before.

Alaska doesn't do anything fancy with season images - it only displays what XBMC has cached for them. Try switching skins and you'll see the same result.

hmm, thats weird, i wonder why xbmc is doing that now.

Hitcher, I noticed an inconsistency with Actor thumbs. If you use big actor images and there is no image for a particular actor the display is of DefaultActor.png (of course I made a fancy one) but if you are displaying small actor images, no actor image displays nothing instead (of course I want of use my fancy one here too).

I am sure I am like many here and use small images, especially since xbmc scrapes rather small actor thumbnails and the scaling sucks.

OK, changed it for the next update.

Hi

Do you plan supporting music videos?

- fullfatcream - 2011-01-31

Just a quick one... has the glass effect changed from a few versions back or is it just my eyes?

Not been touched.

Added to Music submenu for the next update.

Hitcher,
If the navigation nitpicking in this post isn't going to be fixed, please say so or I will continue to remind you Wink (Every project should have an issue tracker)

- Hitcher - 2011-02-02

It happens no matter what view mode you're using but I have fixed it now.

This is definitely a noob question... but how can I change the images on the homescreen? In your YouTube videos I have seen alternate Movies, TV Shows, and Music images.

On this same note, is there some sort of Wiki or "How To" for the Alaska Revisited skin. I can obviously handle the basic customizations and normal navigation on this wonderful skin... very intuitive, responsive, and gorgeous. I am wanting to dig into more customization options available (sub menus, icons, etc) and was hoping for some documentation to follow.

I have seen some of the YouTube videos for the skin but many of them are 5-6 months old so I was unsure if they were current. It would be great to have a guide or tips on how to do everything related to the skin (or skins/UI in general).

Thanks Hitcher!! I appreciate your hard work.

Settings > Alaska

Plenty of customisation options in there but you want Home Artwork and Submenus.

Thank You!!

Also, this may be unrelated. Since I have plugged in my HP IR receiver when I wake my HTPC from sleep the skin is wacky. For example it may be missing home icons (until I go into Movies and back out to home)... things like that.

I think this may be from receiving the remote key presses during sleep but am not sure. I do not have my Harmony remote yet... which will be programmed to control my XBMC HTPC.

This may sound bizzarre, but that is what is happening and I did not see it happen until I hooked up my IR receiver. Confused

Hi, i just wanted to say how much i like Alaska Revisited Smile i used PlexAlaska but migrated to XBMC.

I didn't know my mac mini could show such a smooth interface. All other ones were a bit "choppy" Smile

I have 1 little question though. I'd like my fanart to be less "white". PlexAlaska has an option to set the "lightness" of the background fanart. Is this an option i'm not seeing, or isn't it possible (yet)?

I'm having a little problem:
When the skin is automatically updated, it somehow "crashed" and the Confluence-skin is selected. So everytime a new update is downloaded and installed, I have to change back to the Alaska skin in Settings.
Is it a well-known issue?
