Not a lot I can do to fix this apart from removing the poster frame and displaying them as they are which will then affect everyone else who uses banner.jpg or don't even use the Banner view type.

Have you considered trying to use banner.jpg yourself?

Well yes, hopefully this could be standarized...that would fix many problems Big Grin so the info dialogs are not view specific? or maybe there could be a skin setting? I guess I'll batch rename my files

It appears that the subtitle add-on was broken in the newest version of Alaska revisted? All i get is a blank white screen when i try to get the subtitles.

A developer says this:

Quote:alaska's script-XBMC-Subtitles-main.xml needs an update, since 2.2.6 script doesnt support old window layout

That was removed a long time ago.

Movie Set Fanart - TomPiXX - 2011-02-06 16:56

Hi,

I searched for it but found nothing about it.

I have a problem with the fanart-view in my movies.
All seems to be fine but the movie sets don't have a thumb in this view.

I know, set-fanarts are note implemented in XBMC but is it possible to have a thumb for sets in the fanart view?

In cover view all sets have a thumb / cover but I really like the fanart-view.

- Hitcher - 2011-02-06 18:39

A poster resized to fanart proportions would look awful.

- TomPiXX - 2011-02-06 20:57

The problem ist, that the poster seems to be ignored in the fanart view.

There is just the default "placeholder" image (like no cover available).

- Hitcher - 2011-02-06 21:23

That's because it's a Fanart viewtype. Wink

- TomPiXX - 2011-02-06 21:42

*lol
I know! That's why I asked for a possiblity for a movie-set fanart. Laugh

I just want to have fanarts for my movie-sets.

Maybe it's possible to check if a movie has fanart than display it.
If no fanart than check for poster / cover (this would display the "streched" cover).

Maybe I think too complicated... sorry. Frown Eek

I hope you know what I mean... OoConfused

Hi Hitcher. I do not know if you will be ok to bring some small modifications to your skin to make it more functional with the Advanced Launcher add-on or any other programs add-ons. Here is the small modification that bring my MOD to your actual skin panel views :

  • Display of ListItem.genre info: It is not activated for program.
  • Display of ListItem.premiered info: Add information about the release date of an item.
  • Stretched Images for wide panel : Images are by default scaled. But for program views I think it will be better to them to be stretched (as for square or tall panel views).
  • Display of ListItem.studio info: Add information about the studio. Usefull then you does not have the corresponding icons.
  • Justified Text: this one is the less necessary. I just personally found that it look better when texts are justified.
If you could bring those small modification to your skin and improve the programs add-ons display views, it will be perfect. Thank for your great stuff !!!!
