Don't really know how an external player might deal with native Blu-Ray folder playback. I rip all my BR's to mkv for compatibility (using AnotherEAC3to GUI) and never had any problems playing from mpc-hc as an external player as I recall - been some considerable time since I used it though.

Try tinkering with the <hidexbmc> and <hideconsole> values (changing to true and combinations of true and false) - seem to recall that there issues with the values though can't remember why Blush

Natively xbmc identifies the largest m2ts file from the folder structure and plays it, however I've just ripped a BR to folder structure and found that DSPlayer is unable to play from that format either. Is there a reason you play from folder structure - are you playing directly from disc, or have you ripped in that format to HDD?

I also have a popcorn hour C-200 that allows for full menu support from iso or folder structure. I have plenty of storage space so I just kept the whole disk in case I ever wanted to do anything with them for compression, etc. Plus it's kind of cool to have the full bluray experience with the menu's and everything. I guess DSPlayer wouldn't be for me if it doesn't recognize the folder structure yet.

I see - have a play about with the settings I described previously and see what happens.

Poor playback - crystalgipsy - 2011-03-03

Hi I am new to this forum and XBMC. As I XBMC does not like a fair few of my MKV files, plays them corrupted, I thought I would setup an external player to handle these files. So I have configured it for MPC-HC following the instructions here. Unfortunately the playback is far from ok it seems to be playing back at a very slow framerate. If I quit XBMC and play then in MPC-HC they play back fine. I have tried it with internal filters and ffdshow but both have the same effect. It almost seems like DXVA is not being used when started from XBMC.

Any help would be appreciated.

Running on AMD 64 x 2 5000 + 2.6gz, 3gb RAM, ATI 4350 1GB

No chance of getting the subtitle download plugin working with mpc-hc in xbmc?
