Managed to make a couple of the logos I needed for my collection so posting them here in case anyone else can make use of them. Not as great as most of those on here though.

The thing with logos is there is no PS talent required, most of it is patience...Some logos you can get by with the magic wand tool, some hard ones you have to trace slowly along the logo with the pen tool.
Some people like using masks, I like masks but mostly if I have a hard logo I just slowly trace with the pen tool. Sometimes if I notice some jaggies I apply a light(20-25%) blur around the edges.
Then a 2x check work on a black/white/pink or lime green background. Sometimes white, and definitely black, will hide some errors.
Then I add a drop shadow:
Opacity: 75%
Angle: 90
Distance: 2
Spread: 0
Size: 5

BTW - I'm using PS CS4. Drap and drop doesn't work but your "copy image, ctrl+v" works for WhatdaFont so that good enough, thx...

Ahh, okay. Seems that's just one more improvement they added to CS5. Definitely worth the update.
