[SOLVED] XBMC live and Geforce Go 7600 problem-Qosmio G30 notebook - nicus - 2010-04-19
Hi,
I tried many XBMC LIVE USB distros on my Qosmio G30 with Geforce Go 7600 but no success! Xserver crashed several time with "failed to initialize the Nvidia" message. I tried many xorg.conf but without success (I got only login screen).
Today i found something useful that solved my problem:

I just added in syslinux.cfg option "vmalloc=256M" (virtual memory):
"label ubnentry0
menu label XBMCLive - NVIDIA GPU
kernel /live/vmlinuz
append initrd=/live/initrd.img boot=live vga=788 vmalloc=256M splash module=nvidia quiet persistent quickreboot quickusbmodules skipconfig union=aufs xbmc=autostart,tempfs,setvolume loglevel=0"

i have toshiba g30 qosmio and I would like to install XBMC live on it. Could you please share with me the steps and your experience. How is the performance of playing 1080p movies?
