Oddsodz Wrote:Also somebody said something about "blu-ray" = Blue and "HD-DVD" = Red. Best way I have seen it done is in "Shade". They have 1080p content show up with blu-ray logos and when something is 720p it shows up with a red HD-DVD style logo. I Liked it.

i have HDDVD's that are 1080 and i also have bluray's that are 720p so oversimplifing it too much won't be very helpful Wink

I have no clue about RSS, though I think it's doable to show more than one but I can't think of how at the moment...

would it be possible to do a volume as number instead of the bar? think that could be pretty kewl look

- smilenkovski - 2010-08-08

Yes, Volume as number is more Nightish.

- WhyS - 2010-08-08

I actually love the current volume bar.

Numbers could possibly be added to the top of the bar, though.

- zwat - 2010-08-08

feel the volumebar looks nothing like the rest of the skin. nothing else in the skin has a wide border

is putting "now playing" in the background instead of fanart and backgrounds still being considered? and could u make a now playing option on the home menu or something to make it easier for people with a remote

i was able to do this for my friends box (camelot final, not svn)

you edit the RssFeeds.xml thats inside your userdata dir

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<rssfeeds>
  <!-- RSS feeds. To have multiple feeds, just add a feed to the set. You can also have multiple sets.     !-->
  <!-- To use different sets in your skin, each must be called from skin with a unique id.                 !-->
  <set id="1">
    <feed updateinterval="30">http://feeds.feedburner.com/xbmc</feed>
    <feed updateinterval="30">add new feed here</feed>
    <feed updateinterval="30">and another new feed</feed>
  </set>
</rssfeeds>

I have one problem regarding rss feed s. Actually the font used by the skin is, probably, non unicode font. I'm subscribed to cyrillic rss feeds which works fine in another skin (Cirrus). Can you check (change) the font, please
And, speaking of rss feeds RSS Editor reports script error so the only way to get proper rss is to edit RssFeeds.xml.
And, again, thank you for your great skin.

Excuse my ignorance as I'm new to XBMC but for the life of me, I can't get this skin installed. Here's my setup:

I'm running the DSPlayer version of XBMC (r31520). I installed Git and followed OP's instructions and installed Night and everything went well with no errors. But for some reason, I do not see this skin under my settings within XBMC. Am I doing something wrong or missing a step?

Thanks much in advance.

Assume you put everything in the correct spot, if you installed a skin with XBMC running you'll need to close/restart XBMC

I installed without XBMC running but when I started it, Night wasn't in the list of installed skins. Sad

I followed this link ( http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=560729&postcount=2 ) to install it and everything went just fine. Just as a side note, though I'm new to XBMC, I'm not new to computers. I earn my living as a network engineer. Smile

Try another download folder instead of the "c/Program Files/XBMC/addons/" ("c/Night/" for example - you have to create this folder by yourself before run the git download)

Than follow the instuctions and see if you have a folder named "skin.night" in c/night/ ...
