Dumb question - how do I "get the git" ;-) I did some Googling and not quite sure. I'm not a noob with PC's but also not a programmer - is the latest version "reasonably" obtainable?

Love the recent additions view...

recently added looked strange on movies, but good on tvshow.

did u have a new items on the other views once? would be great on tvshows (fanart) if it could say *new* if that series had something from the recently added list where the *watched* is now.

better to learn git then u don't have do dl 100mb every 2nd day to keep up to date with the builds Big Grin

In movies the Newest-view just shows "season/episode - aired".
Also, strings are hardcoded.

Was testing something out and removed the <visible>, that view should only be available for Recent TV and Now Queued Playlist...

Also thought I Localized the strings but looks like I only did the view name and not the others, will get those...

It's just bad design. One pet peeve I've always had with skins is using numbers or non-traditional indicators. Night had it perfect before. Traditional bar that accurately shows the % of volume. Now it's some strange circle that doesn't seem accurate or intuitive. Volume indicator seems like a funny thing to be concerned about really though Tongue

I'm always just testing something out, not sure I'll keep it. Sometime I need to see something in practice for a few days to get a true feel, rather than just a screenshot...

would be cool if it could be a solid line going in circle, but not sure that would be possible. i didn't like the original one, but the quickfix to that could be to delete\rename the border and background graphic.

I like the new one

ok, probably 2 dumb noob questions

1) is this the orignal NIGHT skin or a mod?
2) assuming the former - do I just extract all the files in the ZIP to the NIGHT-Skin's folder? If the latter - I assume I would extract to a secondary folder in the SKINS folder?

Thanks!

PS - and what's the "Hammertime" sound file for ;-)

- Flomaster - 2010-09-20

search the thread for Hammertime, damn I can't find it after searching, but I don't think its being used for anything.

this IS the night skin it needs to be in addons in its own skin.night folder assuming your running Dharma. or just do a git clone from ~/.xbmc/addons/

How hard would it be to get movie genre fanart or is it already supported?

Already Supported

Sortof, I just noticed I accidently overwrote the 'Animated Fanart' code over the <texture> line. So it'll be fixed either today or Thurs. update...As of this post it's broken at the moment.
