Any way for external subs on DVDs? - AxaliaN - 2010-05-17

Hiya,

I have a couple of DVDs which only have english subs, but my girlfriend's English isn't good enough to watch movies that way.

Is there any way to load external subs for DVDs? I tried loading one with XBMC, but it wouldn't display them Sad

No one knows any way?

Are the dvd's in .ISO?

Well, they're physical, store-bought dvds Wink

If you want your store bought DVD's with external subs you can't do it. The movie needs to be in a file form not image. So it would need to be like .MKV.

With .ISO XBMC will play the subs if you have them in the movie.

Ah okay. Well I guess an ISO is fast enough to make. Thanks!
I do hope this feature is added to XBMC in the future though. MPC HC can display external subtitles when you play a dvd disc, so it should be possible.
