5.1 audio format support - xbmc_today - 2010-05-18
Hi,
I'd like to know what 5.1 audio format XBMC supports. I want to rip a live concert video DVD into an audio-only format that I can then play through the music player. I was able to get AC3 files from the DVD but they don't play in XBMC.

i just tested 48kHz (DVD quality) AC3 and DTS files with 6 channels (5.1).
the files have the extensions .ac3 and .dts and play perfect in XBMC just like mp3, flac, wav and all other formats.

I'll give it a shot again today. The last time I tried, they didn't play. I'll dig a little deeper into the logs.
