local folder/fanart problem - GenMacG - 2010-06-02

Hi,

according to the wiki all I need to do is add a folder.jpg and fanart.jpg to the folder my movie-file is saved in and it should be automaticall included when creating the library. I simply can't get that to work, it always uses the posters/folder pics and fanart the scraper assigned. Here's an example for my folder structure:

Movies\moviename (year)

Movies\Kick-Ass (2010)
Movies\Kick-Ass (2010)\Kick-Ass-CD1.avi
Movies\Kick-Ass (2010)\Kick-Ass-CD2.avi
Movies\Kick-Ass (2010)\folder.jpg
Movies\Kick-Ass (2010)\fanart.jpg

hope somebody can direct me into the right direction.

cheers

Ok, I partially sorted this problem out. I have to rename the poster/thumbnail/folder picture, whatever you wanna call it to moviename.tbn, fanart.jpg stays the same.

Now the thing is, the only way this gets updated if I remove the movie from the library and scan the movies folder again. If I change the pics and scan again it keeps the old ones. How can I do a proper rescan.

Now somehow it the movie information can't be obtained any more. Damn, what a pain in the ass to set this all up =)
