Hi all!

I am using the new Dharma Beta 1 release together with the addon XBMC Subtitles, set on downloading Swedish subtitles from the Swedish site undertexter.se.

In order to get the correct subtitle for my movie, with proper sync, you need to choose the subtitle made for the exact release of the movie.

Under advanced settings in XBMC Subtitles you can choose to click "Search using parent folder". This way, you should be able to search for the exact releasename, e.g. "The.Experiment.2010.720p.BluRay.x264-LEVERAGE".

Using Beta 1 (latest release) and an updated XBMC Subtitles, it still searches for "The Experiment (2010)". This results in loads of available subtitles, instead of just one.

I see two ways of solving this issue:
1. Search using the exact foldername
2. Show the folder name at the top of the result, so that the user know what release he or she's got.

I thank you so much for a feature that is amazing, but still can be improved.

Thank you for your input. However, visiting undertexter.se i can clearly see a difference between searching using the movie name and using the folder name. Using the folder name, I always get the correct release. And no other.

When I download from usenet I often don't have a parent folder. But the downloaded file name contain the release.
So I would like to provide a solution for both scenarios (folder and file) and also not break the other 9 search services.
That's why I proposed to use the "sync" icon to mark which search result should be the one for your release.

no, I have explained myself on the previous page. I still think if you use OpenSubtitles or Sublight you will get "sync" -ed subs in most of the languages that will work 100%

just my $0.02

Cheers,
Zeljko

@Željko
Can you, please, consider including this site in the list. I think that it is the best site for TV shows regarding balkan languages.
Thank you, друже.

Using Sublight and OpenSubtitles, any subtitle I try to download causes an error in extraction, which leaves the overlay window on the screen with no way to get rid of it. This is with the latest version upgraded today, and the file path is smb:// but writable so there shouldn't be any thing stopping it writing.
Only way to get rid of the overlay window is to do a forced reboot of the computer (asrock ION one, xbmc Dharma beta 1 live cd)

Please post a debug log.
1) Enable debugging: in Settings > System > Debugging enable the setting "Enable debug logging".
2) Reproduce the problem
3) Paste the logfile in pastebin.com.
Logfile location:
- OSX/ATV: /Users/<username>/Library/Logs/
- Linux: /home/<username>/.xbmc/temp/
- Windows: %APPDATA%\XBMC\

I made couple of changes to SubtitleSource plugin:
- Enabled "sync". Script will compare the filename to releasename from SS. If match is found it will mark it as "sync"
- Added check that at least one of the user selected language is on SS supported languages list
- Changed the way subtitles are sorted. Don't know if my way is the correct one, but it seems to be working (line 9 on ss_utilities.py). Now the subtitles are sorted like this: Sync, Primary, Secondary, Third language.

New codes at pastebin.
