ppic Wrote:i'm using a streaming addon, that allow me to watch movies or tvshow, when i use the subtitle during play, seems that he try to search for a movie, not a tvshow, i've got more choice when using on same episode from libraory.

its not really optimized for streaming, it will treat it as file in file mode hence you getting the better results with episode from library.

try using "Manually Enter Search String", enter "Criminal+Minds+S02E04" and search using OpenSubtitles as service.

ok, but can you be more specific on that part: "using OpenSubtitles as service"

it's working great with streaming, that just to find the good subtitle which is hard Big Grin
no problem after, using temp folder to download.

not much we can do Sad

yes, i assume the problem is not on your part Wink

doesn't really matter to me, it's the best available in this script for french language but i'm using english subs most of the time Big Grin

i know this subtitle site, i'll see if i can add them to the plugin Wink
for now, i don't know how you integrate source.

podnapisi fail on rar files - casi266 - 2010-11-06

First thanks to Amet and the contributors for this very usefull script !

I get an issue with podnapisi service, he don't find anything if the TV show is in a rar file. If I extract it, I get results.
I can see that the hash and the size can't be get with the rar format but the url links of the search give good results.

If you can have a look at the log.

Thanks again for this job !

try disabling hash search under addon settings and see if that helps.

Yes, Y is a mapped network drive. Disabling hash search has prevented the addon to crash. The thing is that I get a whole less hits. Podnapisi for example does not return any positive hits. Do you have any clue from the debug log as to what is causing this?

May I suggest an improvement as well? Would it be possible, once a matching subtitle has been found to add a button instructing the addon to download the subtitles for all the episodes of that season?
Podnapisi supports season pack downloads. That might be a possible way to acheive this.

something changed in how xbmc handles smb:// files

that might work for you but it might not work for everyone. just cos one file is hash matched it doesnt always mean that all he files in a season will be matched.

I am trying Dharma Beta 4 and one thing I've noticed is that the now default "XBMC subtitle script" waits for a significant amount of time in seconds to start download.
That wasn't the behaviour in 9.11, why the change?

For example this afternoon I opened XBMC , search for a subtitle and it displayed a popup notice "Download will start in 45 seconds" Eek

The wait time is dictated by the sunlight server, nothing we can do about it
