It tries save the subtitle in the default movie directory. Not the one I specified (/home/xbmc/Download/).
And I got RO on my share that contains movies, tv and such.

It would be awesome if the file name or parent folder name could be displayed prior to the search of the subtitle. I bet more people would like this?

Anyways its a terrific addon!! I love it.

hm, dont really see the point of it, but lets see what other people think.

I love that i can select different scaper for movies and different for tv shows as the main scraper, i would like to see that go a bit further lets say choose to scrape tv shows by filename and movies by directory name, or better yet be able to select which method you want to search with on the interface of xbmc subtitles.

Unless I've missed something - the only way for me to find the correct subtitle is to look at info of the movie or tv show before I start it and look at the location, e.g
"H:\Film\007.A.View.To.A.Kill.1985.UE.iNTERNAL.DVDRip.XviD-iNCiTE\incite-avtak.ue.xvid.cd1.avi"
and after that I can select corresponding subtitles for "007.A.View.To.A.Kill.1985.UE.iNTERNAL.DVDRip.XviD-iNCiTE" whenever I manually input search terms.

I should probably add that its only when I manually search that this feature would have been nice.

Cheers!

if you enable search using parent folder 007.A.View.To.A.Kill.1985.UE.iNTERNAL.DVD Rip.XviD-iNCiTE would be your search string in anyway.

you can enable "Display file name in results page" but that would display "incite-avtak.ue.xvid.cd1.avi" in your case.

I've got that setting on Smile
What about TV-Series? Perhaps my sorting is incorrect:
E.g
"K:\TV-Serier\The Event\Season 01\the.event.101.hdtv-lol.avi"

Parent folder in this case will allways be Season 01. What about adding an option to TV-Series specifically, to search "parent of parent folder name"?

I could change my sorting, but then I would have to use another scrapper program than the one I'm currently using.

no need, you have to click on "search by parent folder" so your initial search will be by filename which is good fro tv series and if you dont find anything for the desired movie, then hit parent folder search and it will search on the same service by the parent folder as search string.

it will attempt to clean the folder name, so in your case it will search for "007.A.View.To.A.Kill(1985)"

this addon works well when the items are in the library, then all the above is null and void as it gets the names and episodes from the xbmc library

Could you please remove Undertexter.se? They just steal from Swesub.nu, remove any credits to Swesub in the srt and often mess up sync while doing this. Why not just add Swesub instead?

Sorry if this has been asked before (a quick search did not result on anything) but I am having problems updating this fantastic addon. Basically the update does not work and it does get updated and the version in addon.xml file stays the same. Anyone with a similar problem?

Using dharma beta and doing updates manually. All other addons update fine.

Post a debug log of the update process, might tell us something
