Manual Search the text box is by design the folder name, there are few reasons for it: 1) if you got as far as Manual search your movie/tv show is not scanned in a library, 2) your movie file is not named in a conventional name that it could be cleaned up and recognized(same way xbmc recognizes movie/tvshow names) hence us assuming that folder name should be used

)"Search using Parent Folder" is done specifically for people who use folders for movie names and have .avi named funnily, you all know who you are
. that follows xbmcs example, that's what the scrapers have as option as well I will say this again, XBMC Subtitles shouldn't need Manual or parent folder search options if movie/Tv Show is scanned in a library, it was made with that in mind, Manual and Parent folder search is added later to accommodate people who for some reason dont like libraries

I have conversated with OS admin, the simplexml responds "Not valid MySQL resource" after first connect. Problem is known and it doesn't depend on server load state.
It will be fixed in future (January might be the shortest possible timeline).

Got issue in my setup, I mounted 4 samba locations in my ubuntu Appletv. When the script tries to write to the local samba moviedirectory it stalls (no crash).
When switching the options to store the subtitles in a local directory, it works smoothly.
Of course I rather store the subtitle file within the movie directory.

Hey All,
i love this addon, and i've been using it happily for quite a while. At the moment i'm reinstalling my HTPC with Dharma RC2. One of the first things was installing this add-on. What i'm running into now is that no matter what i select the button seems to be disabled in the video osd. I've reinstalled the addon and checked the settings, but i can't figure it out.
I've upload my debug.log here: http://pastebin.com/jyg9kFdk
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Is 2.2.0 on the official add-on section yet? Just wondering on whether I should be seeing an "update available" or not as I have a feeling my RC2 upgrade didn't go well. Still on 2.1.9.

Did you activate it and select the script in the settings menu in XBMC? (see page 1 of this thread on HOWTO)

Hi Amet,
I tried to assign the subtitle script to a button on my remote, but got stuck at the point where I need to define how the button activates this script. Is this even possible, now the subtitles function as an addon?

if you are not on RC2 you will not receive the new updates

Ohh, you are on RC2... No , 2.2.0 is only on github, there is only cosmetics in there, not worth pushing it to official repo

You have to register on his site to download, not sure if this makes it more difficult.
