(plays tv theme songs in season/episode menu)

cheers, im loving the theme

I'm sure this has been asked before, but is there a reason that Movies and TV Shows were left out as a configurable option on the homescreen? This nearly universal feature (or a way to emulate it) is about the only reason for me not to use this skin.

- Galefury - 2010-12-01

We, users who use this skin, like it that way. But feel free to mode it to your liking.

- iainmacleod - 2010-12-01

Any idea when this skin will be available through Addons?

What's the process involved in this?

- Kolabor - 2010-12-02

v0.9 or v1.0.

That's not a bad idea actually Smile Will have a look into this and see how it works out. Cheers

I'm afraid not, sorry

Yes, so many times actually that I'll have to ask you to read back in the thread if you want the several reasons for this. To be honest, if it's your only reason I think one extra click is a pretty small thing to not use it. But of course there's no point discussing personal preferences, it's all good Smile

I'll be looking into setting up a repository when 0.9 comes and providing you an add-on you can install to keep up with reFocus updates. Inclusion in the official xbmc repo is unlikely though because of licensing issues.

Not to be annoying but when can we expect to see 0.8.9.5?

Thanks

Seems like a default on a configurable option or an easy way to make additional homescreens point to favorites would be a better overall solution, but OK.

Not having it by default is not a reason not to use the skin. Not having a reasonably easy way to add it without a mod will keep me from using it. In all other ways, it is a beautiful and very usable skin.

I actually made a mode for personal use, but after a while I reverted to the original. Just give it a go, you will get use to it. Is very... logical.

reFocus 0.8.9.5 available - Jeroen - 2010-12-05

So here is reFocus 0.8.9.5. Again, much delayed due to several circumstances.

This will really be the last update to 0.8 so I hope there's not any major bugs in it. There's been some gaps in between working on this last update so hopefully I didn't forget or overlook stuff.

Starting with 0.9.x I will be working on bigger changes. I already branched into 0.9 and have been doing work on that too.
By closing the 0.8 series I will be able to concentrate on 0.9 without having to backport fixes from 0.8

Because of the bigger plans for 0.9 stuff is likely going to break while I work on that. I don't want to put out some highly buggy 0.9 release so getting out the first 0.9 release may take a bit longer. Although work on the PVR stuff for instance is already about 75% done. All the functionality is in place, it's now a matter of styling and making it fit nicely with the rest of the skin.

In the meantime, don't stop posting bug reports because those will surely be adressed while I go.

This update is mainly intended to fix the scrollbar bugs reported with 0.8.9.1

Biggest changes in this update:
  • fix: borked scrollbars
  • add: mute icon on homescreen
  • add: not available notification in homescreen weather entry when no internet connection available
  • fix: music playlist screen pagelabel using wrong font
  • fix: add-on select window showing version # twice instead of version and author
  • fix: scroll right indicator in fullscreen gallery view not displaying
  • fix: gallery strip view for pictures using wrong font
  • fix: add-on specific info for pictures list view
  • fix: recently played video toggle not working
  • fix: viewtype resets to listview sometimes when listing add-ons content
  • add: support for "The Big Picture" add-on - done (thanks Sphere)

Concerning the support for "The Big Picture" add-on please use the beta version Sphere posted here: http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=652208&postcount=77 instead of the one available in the add-on repo as that doesn't support some of the changes that reFocus uses yet.

looks like the addon list problem is fixed, I'll check when I get home, good work Jeroen, we look forward to more updates. keep up the good work

- tungmeister - 2010-12-05

For me the scroll bars are still broken as shown in the screen shots posted previously.

- Jaypeg - 2010-12-05

Would you consider adding rating to music visualization? And maybe the ability to change rating with up/down keys?

Looking very much forward to the alternate home screen Big Grin

EDIT: Just realized that you can change rating with up/down keypresses nevermind that one then :p ....
