guess i've got a reason to start using the nightlies - loving the new startup animation!
noticed a couple of things with a quick play around:
slight text overlap in the title of the video playlist screen

not sure if this is intentional, but on TV Show information, the pop up dialog only shows cast and browse, refresh, get thum and get fanart are missing...

I of course would be willing to look into improving the load times on the ATV2, but to be honest there is not a whole lot a skin can do differently when it comes to loading fanart. It's just your typical image control.
I could try to see what delaying the fadetimes would do, but that would affect all users so I would have to find a good compromise.
I'll look into modifying some things. I can then upload the files so you can check if it makes any difference.
All viewtypes using fanart and posters are equally affected. It can sometimes take up to ten seconds for posters brought into view (say, by scrolling) to appear. As I mentioned earlier, other skins such as Quartz have no issue with this.

Talking about recently added sign, for those of you who liked better the old silver star sign, here's a micro mod (only 5 kB) that brings it back. Copy the star.xbt file in reFocus's media folder, then go to settings/appearance/skin/theme and choose "star." To revert to the + sign, choose "default." Enjoy.

I can confirm it's slow for me too on my ATV2 using nightlies. Was not as slow for me in version 0.8.x. It does seem like the posters are slower to load than the fanart. Tonight I will try disabling background fanart and see if that makes a difference.

I've been looking through the code and I really can't see anything out of the ordinary. If anything I expected it to be faster than in 0.8.9.6 as it's actually been simplified.

That sucks, I loved that functionality...
Oh well, quick question about the Paused OSD on videos, at present the only thing displayed when you pause a video is the silver progress bar at the bottom; any chance of displaying the info brought up by pressing 'i' when a video is paused?
Aside from being visually attractive, I enjoy being able to see all that info if I'm coming back from an extended time away. Particularly the Finish Time.

I'm having a problem with 0.9.1, I can't get browse to work in videos, forces library mode. If I switch to a different skin like neon then it's fine. Also don't see any options to add source.
