I use nzbs.org

Nzbs.org is not allowing new registration.

Newznab, this is an app you have to install that indexes usenet? Sounds interesting....

****edit****. You can use nzb.su as a Newznab provider. See post #1010.

acribb Wrote:Just so I am clear, to use this with nzb files, my only option is to use nzbmatrix.com, and to use nzbmatrix.com I have to pay 10 bucks for VIP registration?

It's a really good provider. I can't look into your wallet, but paying $10 for lifetime VIP (or is it 10 years?) is really good value for your money.

The $10 I paid for NZBMatrix and the $10 I paid per month are hands down worth having to deal with torrents and possible legal letters.

Now that I'm on campus I use DTella, which isn't automated. But makes Usenet look slow in comparison. I regularly get whole seasons of shows at 50MB/s.

Hey RuudBurger...

Had just a little thought about the Userscript business for IMDB.

Another fella on here (TheDuffMan) has made a XBMC Library Sharing site for XBMC Owners using a script that catalogues your movies online at http://www.sharethe.tv

Can a User script be created that's the same to add the movie from the page they are on? Example - http://sharethe.tv/movies/the-other-guys-2010
The URL has the name and year in it and also the page has a link to the IMDB page. Smile

Just a thought. Would be great to surf someone's collection and think - yes please - add! Smile

bl1nk Wrote:RuudBurger, I have been having issues getting several movies with NZBMatrix because the first RSS is usually a German or non-english version. For some reason it seems that if the first choice matches the ignore list the search just stops there rather than trying an additional entry on the RSS. I had a very simple fix: I actually added in a "English Only" check box in the control panel and using the English only param.

For example, your feed request is like this
http://rss.nzbmatrix.com/rss.php?searchin=weblink&term=tt1156398&subcat=42

Made it use:
http://rss.nzbmatrix.com/rss.php?searchin=weblink&term=tt1156398&subcat=42&english=1

Doing this it found an additional 12 movies I had waiting.

Its a really easy change and I thought you might want to add it in on the next release. Just adding the check box in the config and then like 2 lines in
/ app / lib / provider / yarr / sources / nzbmatrix.py

I think this method works much better than the "Ignore" method

22:43:53 INFO [ app.config.db] Initializing Database. - acribb - 2010-12-09

Running latest version of CouchPotato, Windows 7.

It was working fine until I rebooted the machine.

Now upon launching the CouchPotato.exe file, I can see CouchPotato in Task Manager, 2 instances of it, which then disappear after about 4 seconds.

Log only shows this:

22:43:53 INFO [ app.config.db] Initializing Database.

Any ideas?

That issue is probably related to the Retention setting. The default is very low. Look at the retention that your Usenet provider gives you. Usually around 700. If the usenet file was posted after then it is skipped in the search.

The setting is under "NZBs / Torrents" make it at least 500 and you will get a lot more movies.

Let me know if that helps

There you go, I added it Wink

To everyone that wants to access this new feature: reinstall the Greasemonkey Userscript. You will most likely have to remove it first.

- DejaVu - 2010-12-10

Tried reinstalling the script, but does not seem to function yet in Google Chrome.

--EDIT--
Nevermind. Sussed out I was using the windows R27 build. Doh!

- daffeh - 2010-12-10

Hi, I've been having two separate issues which have now manifested themselves quite a few times.
One issue is releated to nzbs.org and one to nzb.su
On nzbs.org this search "Legend+of+the+Guardians+The+Owls+of+Ga+Hoole&action=search" yields no results for a 720p version (i think because of the subtitle after the : in the title name on imdb). The DVD version is found because there the title is complete. The search parameter is set by CP itself.

The nzb.su issue is that of some movies the 1080p version shows up but the 720 version doesn't. This is the case for DC Showcase: Superman Shazam!: The Return of Black Adam. It is clearly posted twice but only the 1080p version shows up. This movie also has the first issue on nzbs.org where it doesn't even show up.

Loving the CP code though!

daffeh: can you pastebin a part of the log?
