Ever since I've seen the iPad Video interface, I thought about an iPad like XBMC skin. like because a replica would probably give more trouble than it's worth Laugh

I digg the simplistic design of it: simple black background, lots of screen size for the movie/tv shows/podcast posters. Who else likes this?

Maybe we can use another simplistic skin as a start (e.g. Alaska if the skinner agrees) or otherwise we can use the empty basic skin from XBMC (it's posted here somewhere on this forum). I don't have any experience in skinning, but I'm willing to give it a try.

This is kinda strange, but I've just been searching for the exact same thing!

Anyway, I'm kinda new to this as well, but I'm pretty nifty with graphics, so I'm defo up for having a bash at this. I've recently bought an O2 Joggler to haxx/play with, and I've been searching around trying to find a decent UI for it. I've thought about making a php one, but doesn't really play audio - a python one, which I don't know how to code - but that's led me here Smile

Why I've found XBMC to be the best option...

All the media stuff is tried and tested
It works on the Joggler
It's fully skinable
It has transitions

I use XBMC as my main media center, so I'm familiar with the way the skins work and stuff - altho I've only tweaked until now.

Gonna find that default skin and try to mold that into something more ipad like. I do want something a little more original tho.

@leigh103: sounds great. I just started fiddling around in the XBMC skinning code. Great to hear that you're good with graphics.

Btw, I was wondering: maybe this thread is in the wrong place? Maybe it should be in the Skin Development part? If so, can someone move it over there? Thanx Big Grin
