It's in mceremote.zip, which you can get from http://xbmcmce.sourceforge.net/. However note that I've just overhauled the remote configuration and there's now a single config file called MSRemote.reg that includes support for the Asrock. See the Readme.txt in mceremote.zip for the details.

Finally the key on the keyboard "\" ,if you like, windows down XBMC I would like the blue key on the Asrock remote to replicate this, this key shows me
<four mod="ctrl">Notification(key, four, 3)</four>

Thanks for all your help, my Asrock remote is currently equal to my old xbox remote thanks to you

all the best

Hi JR did you find a solution for having the blue button on the Asrock remote, to do the same as "\" key on the keyboard?

Thanks a lot

If you use my new config the the Blue button should be sending ctrl-alt-4, so you can write a keyboard.xml containing something like:

Code:
<keymap>
  <global>
    <keyboard>
      <!-- Blue button: ctrl-alt-4: same as backslash -->
      <four mod="ctrl,alt">ToggleFullScreen</four>
    </keyboard>
  </global>
</keymap>

Hello,

Im not very technical so bare with me. I got my ASRock ION 330HT today with the ASRock remote and would like to get a button for the context menu.

I installed the xbmcmce, added the keyboard.xml and installed the RemoteMCE.reg.

Then added:

<!-- Redefine v to open the context menu -->
<v>ContextMenu</v>

in the keyboard.xml. However, none of my keys are working as the context menu after doing that? What am I doing wrong?

Added the
<!-- Redefine v to open the context menu -->
<v>ContextMenu</v>
before </keyboard>

Thanks

Post your modified keyboard.xml here so we can have a look at it. Also look at %appdata%\xbmc\xbmc.log to see if it reports any errors reading your keyboard.xml.

Here is the xbmc.log:

Hopefully this will clear up some things Smile

I tried your keyboard.xml and it worked as expected. When I press V (and C) on the keyboard I get the context menu. Are you sure keyboard.xml is in the right place? It should be in C:\Users\eirik\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\userdata\keymaps.

Your log isn't a debug log. Turn debug logging on from Settings, System, Debugging, then close XBMC and start it again. Press V a few times then close XBMC and post the xbmc.log. The debug log has a lot more info.

Ok, lol, I think I`ve mixed up a few things here/misunderstood what i was doing.

It did work when I pressed c/v on my wireless keyboard, but I wanted the key to be mapped to my ASRock remotecontroll. Like the digit 1 on the remote for instance.

Therefor i probably need to edit the <v>Contextmenu</v> to something else right? If so, what?

Thanks, and sorry for the misunderstanding the confusion

After thinking for myself for a minute (wow), I managed to fix the problem!

Thanks for your help though, JR, both on this and on my other problem. Great support!

I have sifted through a lot of tutorials on the xbmc forums and I still havent found a solution to my problem. I was able to download JR's mceremote kit and map most of the button to my remote. The problem being the green button and the four top audio, video, pic, and tv buttons do not work... Can someone tell me what i am doing wrong? I've been at this for a couple of hours now... Here is my keyboard.xml

Code:
<keymap>
  <global>
    <keyboard>
      <p mod=Notification(Key, p, 3)>play</p>
      <x mod=Notification(Key, x, 3)>Stop</x>
      <space mod=Notification(Key, space, 3)>Pause</space>
      <f mod=Notification(Key, f, 3)>FastForward</f>
      <r mod=Notification(Key, r, 3)>Rewind</r>
      <period mod=Notification(Key, period, 3)>SkipNext</period>
      <comma mod=Notification(Key, comma, 3)>SkipPrevious</comma>
      <c mod=Notification(Key, c, 3)>Info</c>
      <backspace mod=Notification(Key, backspace, 3)>Back</backspace>
      <return mod=Notification(Key, return, 3)>Select</return>
      <escape mod=Notification(Key, escape, 3)>Clear</escape>
      <t mod="ctrl,shift">Notification(Key, t, 3)>start</t>
     </keyboard>
  </global>
</keymap>

The last map is an example of what does not work...
I have a Keyspan RF MCE remote.

Thanks for anyhelp with this...
