Best Performance Skin - ION Platform - chanders - 2010-07-08 Haven't found out how to do a poll on here, anyways what skin do you ION guys run for the best performance? Please quote the next message and fill in the blanks Model: Revo 3610 Ram: 2GB Skin: Confluence XBMC Version: SVN 31655 OS: Linux / Live Other: Confluence seems to be the best performing skin. Aeon is slow on the REVO, especially when moving in between menu items and selecting an item. There is up to a 5sec delay between screens. Xperience runs fairly okay but is also a bit laggy. I haven't really tried the other skins. - chanders - 2010-07-08 Model: Ram: Skin: XBMC Version: OS: Other: - xbs08 - 2010-07-08 Pmiii - chanders - 2010-07-08 ^^ Thanks. Xperience is my prefered skin but it does run a little slow on the ion even when overclocked as i run mine at 1.9ghz but heat is an issue now the warmer weather is here GPU processing of Fanarts - palmero - 2011-02-05 Y also have a Reve r3610 and I use Transparency skin, and it runs smoothly Try this setting, to allow processing the fanart and imagery using the Nvidia GPU, not the tiny Atom... http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Advancedsettings.xml#.3Cuseddsfanart.3E Cheers - cosmicr - 2011-02-05 I've never had any problems with any skin on my asrock ion 330. - mbetter - 2011-02-05 DDS fanart is a must. I like Night on my ATV which has to be pretty comparable to an Ion setup. - WhiteHartMart - 2011-02-06 Model: Zotac ND-01 Ram: 2GB Skin: Confluence (with Influence mod) XBMC Version: 10 OS: XBMC Live (Open Elec TV Build) Runs nice and snappy - no lag and images seem to load nice and quick even though I'm still only running off a SD card - misterpink - 2011-02-07 Model: zotac mag (atom 330) Ram: 2GB Skin: Fusion XBMC Version: OS: Linux / Live I've been running Fusion and loving it - very snappy. (dds on, ssd) - SyphOn - 2011-02-07 Model: Asrock ION 3D 152D Ram: 2GB Skin: Xperience XBMC Version: 10.0 Dharma OS: Windows 7 x64 - tomal2k - 2011-02-08 Model: Asrock Ion 330HT Ram: 2GB Skin: AEON65 XBMC Version: r33324 [10.0 beta1] OS: LIVE Other detail: Res[1920x1080 60hz], confluence is faster but i would never give up aeon65. - Geeba - 2011-02-08 Model: ZBOX HD-ID11 Ram:2GB Skin:Confluence XBMC Version: Openelec OS: Linux on SSD Other: Settled on Confluence as it matches the Xbox but never had any problems with all the skins I've tried. - PatrickVogeli - 2011-02-08 Model: Asrock ION 330HT Ram: 1,5GB Skin: Alaska Revisited XBMC Version: 10.0 Dharma OS: Ubuntu 10.10 on 2,5" 5400rpm HDD Other: works quite good, though sometimes it stutters a little bit. I believe with a SSD I would solve that problem. |
