I won't be able to fix it until my next release. But, you can change the ' é ' to just ' e ', then re-do XBMC's library. And then re run the script. Before you run the script, you will need to delete the l_cdart.db file(it's now corrupted), you shouldn't have to delete any other files. I am not sure if you can retype the ' é ' in XBMC(maybe you can) and try that. this should get you going again. - NebulaOdyssey - 2010-12-30 giftie Wrote:It seems one of your file paths has an a character that the script does not like.. Yep, I had to change is in my itunes then overwrite my xbmc files since i sync my itunes folder with my xbmc share for music. Seems to now be working good after the change and an XBMX library clean and update. Also deleted the old addon .db file in userdata. Thanks - NebulaOdyssey - 2010-12-30 Just a quick question. Is it 'safe' to upload cd cover to xbmc stuff? - TomPiXX - 2011-01-28 I tried to use this addon several times but it always seems to crash(?). No reaction, just the info about the music database for a long time. Should I be more patient or what can I do? Thanks Tom - giftie - 2011-01-28 If you delete the folder script.cdartmanager in your userdata\addon_data folder, then re run the script, what does it do? If it still crashes, please post you xbmc.log file to pastebin Thanks - TomPiXX - 2011-01-28 Ermm... it works! Would you explain me, why? - giftie - 2011-01-28 TomPiXX Wrote:Ermm... it works! Couple of reasons. If you previously tried the script(I think the older version was 1.0.7) the database changed. or some how the database got corrupted. The next version(not sure when I am going to release it) will have a fix for this sort of problem. - TomPiXX - 2011-01-28 Okay. Thanks again. For your help and for your work. - NoLaw - 2011-02-05 I am having the same problem as TomPixx, but cannot seem to find the script.cdartmanager folder anywhere on my computer. Do you have any suggestions? - giftie - 2011-02-05 What OS are you using Can you find the xbmc folder? - NoLaw - 2011-02-05 I am using Windows 7 Profession 64 bit. I have looked under Program Files (x86) and can find the XBMC folder. - giftie - 2011-02-05 NoLaw Wrote:I am using Windows 7 Profession 64 bit. I have looked under Program Files (x86) and can find the XBMC folder. In Windows Explorer enter this at the top: Code: %APPDATA%\XBMC\userdata\addon_data\script.cdartmanager and delete the .db file - NoLaw - 2011-02-05 I found it, thank you! Hopefully it will work this time... Set up help - scott8504 - 2011-02-11 I've began adding my music to XBMC and I have came across the cdART manager. I think it looks great and I would love to use it. First of all I think I should mention that the cdART plays the default spinning CD nicely. I am having many problems with the cdART Manager though, more than likely my fault. When I first loaded the manager, I did not see any artist or albums in the counter (bottom left). I then went to settings and directed it to the folder where my music is located on my external hard drive. I then went to advanced, and clicked refresh addon database. It loaded though the 4,523 albums by its count, but when it reached 100% it froze up. After restating XBMC, I then began looking at its other functions. Both options under search artists returned blank windows. Automatic download returned with 0 downloaded. I then came to this forum to find any setup guides, I did not find anything closer than this thread. I read all of the posts and followed some of the advise given to others. Still have not found the error in my ways. I'm sure that I must be making some sort of ignorant mistake. More information to help with my problem. I'm using XBMC 10.0 r35647, Transparency! 3.11.1, cdART Manager 1.2.5 and my OS is windows 7 64bit. I would be greatly appreciative to any thread re-direct, setup advice or basically any help that gets me on my way to downloading and enjoying the amazing cdART. |
