I did all the arts and named them and put them in the right places. Most came up in XBMC automatically which is great.
For those that didn't I noticed that if you right click the blank thumb it brings up a menu, one of which is "Artist Information" and in here you can browse to the art files. This is great, so I manually assigned those that didn't show up automatically.
However I've run into two odd problems.
For the Artists "Sublime" & "Mr. Big" which show no artist thumb and no fan art (even though I created them, named and placed them correctly). When I click on "Artist Information" it says "Search for Artist" then after awhile it comes up with an on screen keyboard. And no matter what I put in it never works, so I can't get to the part to assign them their art manually?
Whats going on? These are literally the last two before I'm completely finished.

make sure that the cdArts are in the track level of the album and labeled as 'cdart.png' all lower case.
Ok so change the scraper and try to manually assign them again? What is the best scraper? I think I use the default "Allmusic"
Its odd though cause I searched Sublime and Mr. Big on Allmusics website and they are there.
Yeah I've got the cdart in the right places and named correctly. This isn't really a biggy but would be nice.

Thanks heaps for your help, I couldn't have done it without you. The new HTPC is now in the lounge all connected up and running perfect, and a large part of that is from your extensive help and patience.

I think you might have built your database library after MusicBrainz changed their format. I caught this last night, I'll have a version up for testings shortly.

I think this is the last test version. There are a couple of fixes due to MusicBrainz changing their output(shouldn't happen again) amd the cdart image backup should also be fixed.

Also, for those that have a problem with finding matches, set the 'Enable MusicBrainz ID Update During Addon Database Update' to on. Then run Advanced->Modify Local Database->Update Database. This should find the missing Musicbrainz ID's

No you just need to 'Install from Zip', XBMC will take care of the removal.

Well, I spoke too soon...
It downloaded all the art just fine and I can see it all in their respective folders, but it doesn't show up when browsing for since reason.

Which artwork, which skin? cdART Manager only deals with downloading.

Well, I'm using Aeon Nox but even if I move back to Confluence I still have the same issue.
The Artist.jpg thumbs are there as well as the logo.png, but they dont show up when browsing.
Fanart does work, but there are now folders which your script seems to have created which dont relate to any music present. For example, I have a folder with logo and artist thumb now named "Jonny Cash" despite not having any Johnny Cash in my music library.

Do you have the 'Path to Music Library' set in Aeon Nox's settings? All my logos show up correctly.
The Artist image is another issue. Could you try to update your XBMC's Music Library and see if it will pick up the artist.jpg file. If it does not, you will have to manually update it(ie Get Thumb)
Did you do an autodownload for fanart using the Album Artists or the All Artists option?

I'm not going to set thumbs manually though, I have over a thousand albums on there.
I did automaticly download all artists rather than album artists.
I guess I could batch rename all artist jpgs to folder.jpg if they don't show up.

No problem, I have added an option in settings to do it for you

The biggest change is that the script will replace the thumbnail/fanart that XBMC has stored in the it's database.
