Holding down Play causes ATV to enter suspend mode, not DVD context menu - CaveGuard - 2010-07-15 Hi Everyone My appleTV will enter suspend mode, when holding down play on my apple remote instead of displaying the context menu. (Where you can enable/disable/change subtiles etc.) I've configured Launcher remote to (not harmony) I've configured xbmc to standard remote XBMC pre-10.5 r31795 (I get same result with 9.11) OS Darwin 8.2.2 Any idea how to fix this issue? Thanks in advance. - davilla - 2010-07-15 CaveGuard Wrote:Hi Everyone hold down menu instead. play hold was lost several revs ago to atvos. hmmm, but how do i access OSD during playback then - CaveGuard - 2010-07-15 Hi During playback pressing/holding menu exits the movie and takes you to the XBMC menu where you select what movie to watch. How do I access the OSD during playback. (See link) http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Videos#OSD_.28On_Screen_Display.29 I think the wiki still talks about holding play, but maybe it is outdated: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Global_Apple_Remote I assume it must be possible to change subtitles during playback. Thanks in advance, Benjamin anyone? - CaveGuard - 2010-07-15 Come on , I know you know. Problem solved - CaveGuard - 2010-07-22 Hi I managed to solve the problem, by downloading "joystick.AppleRemote.xml" from http://trac.xbmc.org/browser/trunk/system/keymaps. Renaming it to keymap.xml and placing it in /Users/frontrow/Library/Application Support/XBMC/userdata/. I had to changing every (at least the most important functions) entry with button id="7", so now I can access the OSD using the menu button, obviously this causes me to lose some other functionality, but the OSD is essential.
