I have all my movies in read-only shares, i would like to use subtitles plug-in on client stations, but when i select it to specify path it only shows me DVD drive, it is not possible to enter some location with write access or some path on C: - hard disk .

This was fixed recently in SVN, and when merged to Dharma will be available in nightly builds - a couple of days at most.
