- turnip - 2010-10-10 03:52 Thank you so much, all working fine now! One thing I've noticed, is that I dont need to have the shortcut on my desktop for it to launch. Guess it's launching from the "mce.exe" mod which is nice ![]() Is this code going to end up in the final Dharma release? Hope so! - elitegamer360 - 2010-10-11 02:10 turnip Wrote:Thank you so much, all working fine now! Don't think It will be in the final Dharma but there is nothing stopping you from using it. I will continue posting updates until it feels perfect or until XBMC gives full functionality to MCE remotes
- elitegamer360 - 2010-10-11 02:14 Tutorial is now online! Any one can change the reg file to suit their style, no need waiting for me to update reg files any more, unless you are lazy lol but updates will be coming if major changes happen to the official keyboard.xml.For now I think I can say that I am happy with the latest .reg version settings
- StevenSeagull - 2010-10-11 13:48 Upon reinstalling win7 and doing the reg thing i still have the issue that upon a week or so, the greeen button sends CRTL + SHIFT without the W. Logoff/logon solves it. No idea how to solve it permanently. Otherwise works splendidly. - elitegamer360 - 2010-10-11 14:03 StevenSeagull Wrote:Upon reinstalling win7 and doing the reg thing i still have the issue that upon a week or so, the greeen button sends CRTL + SHIFT without the W. Logoff/logon solves it. No idea how to solve it permanently. Otherwise works splendidly. You know what I discovered yesterday that my green start button sends "CTRL+SHFT" only some how but it still launches XBMC magically thought not sure what is this or why its happening but it just works. If I apply the reg and restart will show "CTRL+SHFT+W" but after some time it won't. Any ways even if it did not show the "W" it's a sure thing that the reg sends the full code because it works for me every time, weird I Know lol
- StevenSeagull - 2010-10-11 15:08 Actually doesent for me and from time to time i have to attach a usb keyboard to logoff. It seems it has to do with suspend resume and usb behavior. Have tried to detach / attach usb reciever without success. - ubuntuf4n - 2010-10-11 15:58 Elitegamer, thanks for this nice tutorial. You're doing a really great job. Best Regards, Ubuntuf4n - elitegamer360 - 2010-10-11 18:45 @ Ubuntuf4n: thanks mate hope that the tutorial is easy to understand ![]() @ Stevenseagull: mate I really do not know what's happening with your set up. Have you made sure after quiting XBMC that no XBMC process still running in the task manager. May be if you post a debug we'll be able to find what's going wrong! - StevenSeagull - 2010-10-11 19:14 Thanks for trying to help me. Actually i digged into debug log and find no clue. Gave up on that. Nope Xbmc is not present as some kind of dead exe in resident memory. I know becouse i looked whats possibly interfering and found nothing. Good try though. On this pc i have installed only harware enabling drivers, WinRAR and nothing more. Never had issues with evenghost tho althrough it was not nearly as good as this. It must be something really stupid i overlooked. Possbly a bios glitch that triggers afer a certain amount of standby wakes. - StevenSeagull - 2010-10-11 19:24 I got it! Elitegamer360 you were helpfull alot. If i press twice the greeen button it doesent load xbmc twice, but F**** up the green button. No resident xbmc instances either. Any way to flush the MCE remote controller upon exiting xbmc perhaps? |
