Glad to see you back Gnif, wish you all the best...

ps. perfection comes in time

I just compiled a under Windows 7. Getting slow mo video when playing back DTS-HD or TrueHD files. DD and standard DTS playback just fine.

I have an older version from July that plays back both formats...although they skip occasionally.

gnif, I try my best not to pollute the development threads but I really felt like writing a "keep up the good work" message. All you are doing is out of love for the community and the project. Nobody in his right mind could hold a grudge for you having to take care of your personal life.

Now... go back to work! Wink

I've a problem with the last gnif git version:
In the up side of the screen, in the right angle, the icon of "No Volume" (red speaker strikethrough) is forever displayed, also if volume is up.

Anyone have this issue?
Thanks

Looks like gnifs branch isn't updated for ios yet. You could use https://github.com/huceke/xbmc/tree/AE-restart which is a bit outdated - but the chances it compiles for ios/atv2 are much higher ...

Hey fellas,

I cannot build th latest git code, is this expected?

Thanks,

EDIT: My apologies, I was missing pulseaudio dependencies. I am on a fresh machine.

Anyone compiled lately? Issues? - DDDamian - 2011-11-09

Hi All. The most recent commits by gnif seem to be from Oct. 12, 2011 at http://gitorious.org/~shkim/xbmc/shkims-xbmc/commits/AudioEngine - just wondered if anyone has tried building it lately and if there's been any progress. No word from gnif lately here so hoping all is well with him....

He said he was busy IRL, needed some time. He has a life, you know.

- DDDamian - 2011-11-09

Thx Maxoo - realize that (as well as that AE won't make Eden), just like others anxious for XBMC to catch up with SACD/DVDA/BR-quality audio.

For me it looks like that the audio engine branch seems to be dead.

The XBMC representatives should think about putting someone else in charge for the further development on this field.

Chill cowboy. Did you happen to notice that we xbmc devs are pushing towards a release ? That means all hands on desk with respect to the release and the focus is on xbmc trunk. Everything else is pushed to the back of the stove.

Don't be a d*ck... They're gearing up for a major release, and they've already said that AE will not be part of it...
