Thanks a lot for pointing this out! I don't think that this was changed back in the Dharma branch, but I uncommented the "m_ioContext->buf_ptr = m_ioContext->buf_end;" in "xbmc/cores/dvdplayer/DVDDemuxers/DVDDemuxFFmpeg.cpp" and seeking works again for RTMP streams. Thanx - KindSir - 2010-10-05 05:46 Radical! The xbox workaround is running beautifully... many thanks to Bluecop and cptmarginal - BlueCop - 2010-10-05 20:39 Flomaster Wrote:anyone else having a problem with the south park addon? it was working a few days ago, but now its giving me a script error. updated the southpark plug-in for the site changes. I am finally recovering after a doctors visit. hulu fixes coming next. sorry for the delay. Update: Zxurian: I committed a fix for videos with apostrophes in their name. So your castle episodes should work fine. - cbrunhaver - 2010-10-06 20:14 This was super easy to set up and is working great. Thanks! - Zxurian - 2010-10-06 21:33 BlueCop Wrote:updated the southpark plug-in for the site changes. works beautifully! Much appreciated! - matpol - 2010-10-07 09:24 Hi I have tried these plugins - sorry I have not been able to get at the log yet. 1) Hulu - using a vpn I get an error. This happens after you get the choice of which thing to stream. 2) CBS - this works but is buffering all the time - this could be due to the vpn but I tried it using the proxy too with the same problem. Is there a way to increase the buffer? I have a similar problem with TNT so I am guessing it could be a bandwidth issue. I should say this is on a an appletv with a recent build from svn can't remember the number but I updated it last weekend from sshcs. - BlueCop - 2010-10-07 20:08 hulu streams from akamia have been dropping today. I haven't looked at it in much detail yet. It is consistently dropping streams after a minute of two. I am using the HD streams myself so I don't know is this is affecting everyone. I will check out limelight and level3 streams to see if it is happening there too. Update: so level3 doesn't seem to have the problem. limelight playback seems to be broken completely. I have been using akamia exclusively because they are the only CDN to host HD content. Update 2: fixed limelight playback and it seems to playback fine as well. I will commit an update later to fix the limelight problem. akamia problem might just be something I was doing wrong with swf verify. I will try to fix this as well. Update 3: I think it is just some changes to the location of their swf player. I think this should be an easy fix. Update 4: I can't seem to get swf verify to work for akamia streams. It will drop the stream if I enable it because the server doesn't seem to like the returned value. - matpol - 2010-10-08 09:06 I will update and let you know what happens. I still think it could be my connection - is there a way I can change the buffering I know you can do this for streaming over the local network - does this affect streaming from the internet? - BlueCop - 2010-10-08 09:14 I can't answer that because I don't know. I have very little knowledge of the function of the player itself. I just make the plug-in which essentially just grabs a link for the player. As far as I know you can't adjust rtmp buffer. I just can't field playback or connection questions because I would be speaking from a position of ignorance. - BlueCop - 2010-10-08 09:20 Akamia has switched to a type 2 swf verification which hasn't been reversed yet. I posted about the problem on rtmpdump mailing list. So someone will have to step up to fix this. It is beyond me. I would expect hulu to switch all cdns to this swf verification type. So it is just a matter of time till the party is over. http://lists.mplayerhq.hu/pipermail/rtmpdump/2010-October/001193.html Update: the iPad and iPhone streams are still done over http. They are limited to the mobile licensed teir though. I think I will work on getting those working as a backup for hulu plus users. If anyone has a ps3 and uses the hulu plus app drop me a pm because I would like to sniff some traffic. My ps3 is staying at 3.41 for jailbreak so no PSN or hulu plus on it. It would have tv licensed teir but I am not sure how they are streamed. In fact if anyone has a hulu plus device that isn't an idevice. I would like to see some traffic if they are willing. |
