- htpc guy - 2010-10-28 04:03 BlueCop: I love the plugins and I can't thank you enough. I just hope Hulu doesn't decide to break your Hulu plugin like they have other XBMC Hulu pluins in the past. With that being said, I only notice one issue with it. The Hulu background (with the wall of images in perspective) shows the Hulu logo off screen. I created my own using fanart that I have found across the web. It is 1920x1080 and fits perfectly on a wide screen tv. If you would like the file just let me know. I will be happy to upload it somewhere so you can get it. I tried to find where the file is located in the plugin's folder but I don't see it. I can only assume that you are streaming the image from somewhere online. - BlueCop - 2010-10-28 08:52 Yea it grabs all the Fanart from hulu. I could add an option to use a fanart.jpg from the plugin directory if you want. Could we see what you created? - Grumpy1954 - 2010-10-28 15:04 Hi I'm having a slightly confusing problem. I've installed the Hulu add-on on my Intel Macbook. and it works fine exactly as I've used it in the States. But it won't install on my PPC G5. It tells me that it's enabled, then says BeautifulSoup failed to install, followed by crytopy failed to install. I'm running Dharma beta 3, with Transparency! on both machines. I've tried changing skin but nothing doing. I'm sort of guessing that it's a PPC/Intel problem. At least I can still watch Hulu via the laptop. I should add that I'm in the UK and watching via a proxy, but I can't see how that would affect the actual installation. - Grumpy1954 - 2010-10-28 15:07 I also meant to say thanks for the add-ons, they're greatly appreciated - puulima - 2010-10-28 15:30 BlueCop Wrote:Yea it grabs all the Fanart from hulu. I've also seen some other nice looking Hulu background images in other Hulu related threads. I'm guessing it would not be feasible to do local fanart for individual shows that a user may have in the XBMC Library though. Any ideas on what's going on with the Favorites? I'm sure you're busy..so just checking in. Thanks! - htpc guy - 2010-10-28 17:22 BlueCop: I'm at work now so I'll post a link to it tonight. I'm guessing I could link it to my deviantart account. I think it lets you pull down full res images? CBS looks like it's transitioning more? - puulima - 2010-10-28 21:46 New glitch in CBS pulling shows... In this prior post: Several CBS shows don't reflect any/many episodes...I had noted some CBS issues. Never did post these on your Google.Code site...so will do that. However, as of today, my wife's Soap (Y&R) still lists only through 10/25 (Monday)...but the CBS site for Y&R has the shows through yesterday (10/27). the 10/25 show "showed up" in the CBS Add-On listing that same night...but nothing since...other than one item at the bottom of the show listing that says "false (clip)": and based on the thumbnail - I could see it is the 10/26 show. But still no 10/27 show? Another Soap (Bold & Beautiful) has only "false(clip)" for ALL of the episodes...they all appear to be full episodes (and I did not cross reference all of them to the CBS site - so not sure if any particular order?) but certainly not WAF friendly ![]() I was able to find the latest episodes using the "off Hulu" search, but they're not in any logical order...so sprinkled in with all the clips...also not WAF friendly ![]() I just added this item to the google.code posting. Certainly know your busy so just curious on these items...so I can provide the wife with a response ![]() Thanks much! - tnolte - 2010-10-29 00:46 So I'm trying to determine if CBS has in fact changed something with their video source. A couple of weeks ago when I first setup bluecop's CBS plugin everything worked great, as does Hulu, then a week later (all last week and this week) CBS constantly buffers and even the buffered video is laggy. What is interesting also is that the CBS video found through Hulu is doing the same thing, however all the other "on-network" Hulu videos play without a hitch. Seems like CBS is either not able to handle the serving the content or they have changed something to thwart those of use trying to get the content via XMBC or other settop means. Should I submit debug logs for this issue? - wes paich - 2010-10-29 01:47 for the life of me i can't find addons>install from zip file in xbmc. and as a diy kind of guy it is driving me crazy. i must ask the forum for help. please help this poor, dumb man. oh crap, i figured it out. i wasn"t running dharma. sorry. - htpc guy - 2010-10-29 01:50 Here is the Hulu wallpaper that I created. It uses fanart found from across the web (mostly stuff from Aeon). I created it to look just like the Hulu wallpaper in the plugin except it is 1920x1080 so it fits perfectly on a widescreen tv. It can also be resized for 720p screens as well. I am currently using it on my home screen for a custom Hulu shortcut in Transparency! http://mclair.deviantart.com/art/Hulu-Background-for-my-HTPC-184263448 |
