dobbelina: from the logs it looks like you are only trying to use akamia which will not work due to the new swf verify(also level3). set it to limelight, set choosen quality level and enable swf verify. I just checked the quality selection and it lists everything fine for me. Only limelight will work though so only choose those if you want to use that menu. If support for the new swf verify is added to librtmp then akamia and level3 will function again. By the way akamia and level3 are the only CDNs to host the 720p streams.

good news for any cbs fans(I only wanna watch Big Bang really). I am like 85% done with the update. It is damn frustrating because their new site setup is horrible. their star trek original series and star trek enterprise series code returns episodes for both. same deal with new and old hawaii five o. Their naming schemes aren't consistent either so I am trying to clean the errors when possible so the video lists look decent. I can't do much about it in some cases because it is a flaw in the site. Their old json lists were much better because you could categorize by seasons and such. new system will be 3 primary lists of Popular Videos, Recent Videos, and Recent Full Episodes. shows will have 4 categories all videos, latest videos, full episodes and clips. I would like finer control with season selection but its not possible with the new site design. I really think whoever designed cbs.com should be fired. Also CBS is still fully functional with hulu offsite search so if you are jonzing for a show just search for it. still have stuff to fix in hulu subtitles but spent my free time on cbs today. Also it should be possible to add downloading support for all CBS videos (including full episodes) because they mirror stuff to http for html5 support.
phone tethering has helped me through the internet-less home. hopefully will have new service installed next week. I will try to get on my ass and work on plug-ins when that happens.

For anyone having perpetual seemingly unresolvable problems playing Hulu videos, I might just have your solution. I myself have only been able to get it working on my Xbox, and the logs showed nothing more than an inability to connect to the limelight server.
It turns out that the program Peerblock (and probably other anti-p2p blocking programs would do the same) was causing this. The server is blacklisted.

Yeah, "Autobiography of a Brown Buffalo" is not up to Hunter's high watermark, but it is actually a pretty amazing book. What else to expect from the real-life Dr. Gonzo, you know? It covers the whole period leading up to meeting HST, who is also in the book pseudonymously.

I reset the plugin to default settings.(Limelight + swf verify)
Then i did a search for "Jay Leno".
When trying to open an episode, i get the "Error retrieving or decrypting the SMIL file." message:

I then randomly tried to open a "Green Hornet" trailer, and get the empty

Just wondering, looks like CBS has put in regional checks on their videos when I try to play them via browser.. does your addon get around this? Your South Park addon works perfectly for me in Canada

dobbelina: unfortunately the trailers are only available on akamia cdn. So none of the trailers will work. They would have to start mirroring them to limelight for them to function again. I can't solve that issue but will try to add better error handling. I can fix the search issue. I forgot to update the search code to pass the content_id rather then the pid that was previously used. Searched items won't play till I patch to fix that. Thanks for reporting the bugs.
I committed the current version of my CBS update. There is still a problem with quality selection. It will just play the highest quality stream right now. I am going to be busy the rest of the day so this weekend will be the soonest I can get to it.
Eldorado: try the new version and let me know. It still includes proxy support in the settings.
Update:dobbelina: committed a fix for the search issue because it was an easy fix. thanks for pointing out the problem.
That is probably it for me today. hulus subtitle code still needs updating but that will have to wait
