BlueCop Wrote:I updated hulu to version 2.8.6 with a minor fix. It great news for Hulu+ members. The 720p streams from level3 seem will work again. I don't know if this will last but HULU+ member can switch to their Advanced Settings CDN to LEVEL3. Regular users don't need to worry because it won't benefit them. I am watching a 3500kbps 720p stream now. I should so be asleep right now.

Thanks for your great work on this repo, BlueCop.

I'm having an issue whenever I try to update the hulu addon... it just immediately says "installation failed" before it even downloads anything and that's it. It just stops. I don't know if it's exclusive to the hulu addon or not, but so far that's the only time I've seen it happen.

I'm running XBMC on ATV2 (latest nightly build)

Thanks

hulu question - nebulousman - 2011-02-10 16:42

first - thank you BlueCop for the great work!

I added the repository and plug-ins to my JB ATV2 and it has significantly expanded my content - I have a couple of basic question

on Hulu I can play lots of tv shows except there are no original series star trek episodes listed. I don't have Hulu+ but I can watch old star trek tv episodes on my computer so I didn't think I needed the premium service for this. I wonder if some hulu content is perhaps in a different format and I can't stream it to the ATV2 or perhaps there's a difference between streaming to my desktop vs the ATV2 so whats available for free on the computer might be part of the + service when it comes to the ATV2

I would love to stream ESPN3. Are you planning a plug-in for this or maybe there already is one and I can't find it

Thanks again

awesome BluCop, thanks for the work, and the speedy reply.

Some feedback:
I'm from US, living in Hong Kong. Don't know if you need a tester outside the US...

The TBS plugin works great - (what I got this for).
The Daily Show, however, is also a favorite for me, and doesn't work. Most of the time, it simply doesn't do anything. Once, I saw a message to check the log... plz advise if you wish...
I'll let you know about others as I test.

hyserure: try uninstalling and reinstalling. that will get it updated for now. the issue still needs fixing. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or xbmc bug.

nebulousman: hulu does not offer star trek tos(website or not). CBS does which also has a plugin here. I think your confusion came from hulu search returning links to cbs.

New version is not working for me anymore. Have already reinstalled but stops working at "loading directories" just after clicking on HULU. I am on W7 64bit. Any ideas?

try uninstall and reinstall the addon. I will try to track down the problems tonight.

as I said, I already did. It stops working when loading the first directories and it freezes my screen somehow. after a very long time the directories are showing up but it is all miles away from working smooth as it did before.

did you remove it first? try again if you don't mind.

the code is the same. I just changed some swf stuff for playback. It sounds like it isn't getting all the add-on files.

Update: I made some changes. could you try to install again?

This is what I did:
-Removed the plugin
-Checked if the folder was deleted
-Restarted my PC
-Installed plugin again

This is what happend:
-Loading first set of directories (5 main ones) took about 3 minutes
-from there all was as usual
-Add to Subscriptions did not work, "error: script failed" message (login info was provided to the plugin settings).
-Played 1 episode but before the video started, the "error: script failed" message popped up but the video was starting anyway.

Maybe that can help you to find what it is.
