I just installed the Hulu plugin . I only browsed a little and watched one show but it seems to be working great for me .
Thanks a bunch , I like xbmc much better than boxee , and have been waiting for Hulu .
I don't have cable , and I gotta watch my Psych , you know .

It isn't new. It is old but born again thanks to highlandsun and librtmp. Hulu plugin was what got me interested in plugins to begin with by trying to get h264 streams working.

Just wanted to say thanks again for all of your hard work, Bluecop. The newest version of the plugin is working great for me. Once the devs add a way to use subtitles with resolveurl, I'm going to look into speeding up the captions conversion (if it's possible--the largest bottleneck seems to be with the decryption process.) Would it be possible to use the Hulu icon I included with the build I uploaded awhile back or perhaps Jeroen's? Smile

I kinda like the white on black. I guess green on white is good too though. I don't really like Jeroen's because it has specific content in it and that bothers me somehow.

I do like his spike and cbs. I would actually like to use those rather then the ones I am.

Edit: also just pm me if you want commit access for the project. I would really like to try to speed up stream_hulu for playback.

We could speed it up a little by using the pid directly from the feeds. This would take out a couple web requests from stream_hulu and might make it a little snappier. I want to keep the current method in place too though.

Hi bluecop, thanks a lot for your work in this plugin.

I was just wondering if you could elaborate on how seeking is possible. I tried both time seek and the seek forward button, but both seem to stall/crash the videoplayer.

I also had a problem watching an episode where the videoplayer stopped when it got to the first commercial break. I was trying to recreate it or move past it by seeking, but I couldn't really get it to work.

Btw, I am using dharma beta and the Hulu 2.5.4, no plus, just regular and usually select 650k level3 or akamai stream, as for me, 650k limelight stream always fails playback

bluecop, do you think it would be possible to integrate the CBS proxy patch in the Hulu plugin as well?

thanks for putting in the work to convert the plugins to addons, just jumped on dharma bandwagon today.

aptalca: rtmp seeking worked great in the build I was using but seems to be broken in the current svn. I tried to compile a new version this morning and I am having a crashing issue so I am not sure which svn version I was using that worked for seeking. /me waits for clean compile

ikraav: I am not sure if it will work but it is easy to add a proxy. I would like some confirmation it would be functional.

aptalca: I am now running svn r33371 and rtmp seeking is working correctly for me.

Thanks so much for these phenomenal addons!! I do have a question. I'm trying to win brownie points with my wife by making it easy for her to watch Days of Our Lives through Hulu, right from the Main Menu or from an easily selectable menu item. I tried adding the show as a favourite, but when it is selected, the plugin crashes (I can add the debug log if necessary). Is what I'm trying to do something that is currently possible? Any help is greatly appreciated!
