I'm not sure if it was already supposed to work, but will this plugin eventually support Youtube videos using RTMPE?

Currently, there are a few videos that refuse to play because of this protection, unfortunately with more on the way. I don't want to be forced to *shudder* use something like a web browser with a *ugh* flash-player plugin via one of the app launchers...

EDIT;
Okay, I see the issue.

Youtube uses the rtmpe protection protocol for some of their videos. These Youtube videos have been transitioned from Flash Player's "type 9 rtmpe handshake" to the newer "type 10 handshake". The type 10 handshake is currently only supported by the official Adobe Flash Player, and not rtmpdump, etc.

So pretty much, there are quite a few YouTube videos not playable unless through the official flash players.

Yup, we did have support once. when they used type 9. But it was only a short period.

Once rtmpdump get it fixed, we will update our support.

Downloading - housen - 2012-03-08 22:18

I too have the problem where the download doesn't start. It always stays at "preparing download".
I can't make a log file right now, but i'll try to post one over the weekend.
Is this a general problem ?

I have pasted the logs with the issue of downloading reproduced. here is the link to the logs.

Thanks again.

I was using Eden-Beta 3 and noticed the current version from the repo was 2.9.0. I updated to RC2 but it's still only showing 2.9.0. I checked the official repo and that's the latest version in "eden-pre", but "eden" has 2.9.2.

So, is my install messed up? Do I have to do something to switch to the "eden" repo?
