I'm having an issue where I cannot install YouTube either. It seems as though the repository mirror isn't complete? I'm a little uncertain, I was getting some help on the OpenELEC chat, and that seems to be what was decided.

i've tried on 3-4 separate installations on different machines. windows/linux. flashes at 0%, ... any tips/tricks to get this to work?

Ok sounds like I'm not the only one. Was running frodo 12.0 for a long time. Youtube worked fine for viewing trailers etc. I installed gotham 13.1 and love it, but can't get youtube addon to install. Same deal as above...once I click install it says downloading flicks at 0% then stops. I have repeated this on many occasions and same thing.
Any advice?

Looks like it should be pretty simple to fix - i tried to change youtubeplayer.py but could not get it working
Maybe someone with more knowledge could have a look at it

I have Matricom G-Box MX2 - XBMC FRODO attached to my Samsung TV. I am using YATSE remote on my Galaxy Note 3 to share the YOUTUBE videos on my XBMC.
Everything was working perfectly couple of days ago but I don't know what happened. I did not made any changes for sure. Now, when I am on my smartphone, playing youtube videos and try to share & use the SEND TO XBMC command via yatse remote. It does NOTHING but before it used to play the video. Please help me with this issue. I posted the DEBUG LOG file from YATSE REMOTE in Yatse forum and they said everything is fine.
I have this humble request to XBMC techs, please help me out in this situation. I am pasting a link below for both the LOG files from XBMC & YATSE.

For anyone who's youtube addon stalls at 0% then stops try this (read elsewhere on forum):
Got to: settings: webserver allow control xbmc via http --> set on
Then try installing addon. Hope it works for you as it did me!

I have noticed in the last few days a lot of videos that I could play before are not able to play any longer.
Had something changed with Youtube to cause this? I am using 4.4.8
