Best regards

locate XBCM addon folder (users\yourusername\library\application support\xbmc\addons)
and replace YouTubePlayer.py inside plugin.video.youtube with file from link above

Cant find YouTubePlayer.py Sorry for my bad mac skills. Is there a way for me to find it?

I can find the XBMC addon folder but not plugin.video.youtube or youTubePlayer.py

455 is an insertion, so yeah, the old 455 becomes 456 (and 463 becomes 464, which is then changed as above).

I've literally just finished tinkering, (and then had to register to post), so apologies for the improtu explanation, but I figured people would want to know ASAP...

I've also realised I may be running with an edited .py - so those line numbers might not be accurate :/

I've uploaded my file here: http://casual-tempest.net/files/YouTubePlayer.py
Obviously standard disclaimers apply to downloading stuff off the internet, but that may simplify things for people.

This works perfectly - Thanks!!

I have a Mac Mini right now. I´m more used windows owner. I have installed the youtube addon in XBMC and i´ve got it to work but not with vedeo videos and other music videos as well. When i try to find the file plugin.video.youtube i go to applications and xvmc. Then i go to contents and resources. Then XBMC and Addons. I find Library.xbmc.addon and other addons but not youtube plugin or addon.. Where do i go wrong?

You're my hero! We were in the middle of a "pizza night" and we were trying to listen to some music on my TV but it kept giving this weird error. I found and uploaded your fix and it worked like a charm.

You saved the night! God bless open source! Big Grin

Does the YouTube addon support the new 60fps videos on YouTube?

I tried it last night but it seems it was only running at 30fps (but may be my setup)

Is there something wrong with the addon? RPC requests are not working for me now. They worked fine yesterday.

My question is why it takes so long for fixes to be included in the offical repos so they could be done with automatic updates.
