This is unsupported and wont be supported since there are too many problems trouble shooting the many different configurations people may have
I saw the mention in the log of VLC, but don't know where that would have come from, I don't recall setting that up. Do you know where that setting would have been set?

Haha! It wasn't in there, but I found playercorefactory.xml in the Userdata folder and that seemed to be mentioning external players. A quick file rename and XBMC restart and all is well. Thanks!

Can't play any Youtube videos since stable Dharma..i have accelerated hardware on and using newest Xbmc and Youtube plugin everything updated. Here's a pastebin.

Hi, I've looked at the log and the plugin is resolving videos urls just fine, but the problem appears when xbmc tries to play them. I've tested a couple of the video id's from my own machine and they play just fine. My guess is that your xbmc setup is firewalled in some way that preventing xbmc from getting through to youtube. That is sadly all the help I can give, my best advice would be to trouble shoot your network. Try removing as many obstacles between xbmc and you internet connection.

How do I load playlists with the youtube plugin... All I can seam to do is search for a video name, or load all the videos from a particular user...
How do I get access to there playlists?

Thank you so much for replying..don't really know what else to do. I've changed the firmware on my Linksys to dd-wrt it's got zero security on it presently and all firewalls are disabled. I have no problems downloading any youtube video from xbmc but viewing them not working at all....message comes back every 3rd or 4th time with failed playback otherwise no message at all. Would switching to an outside player work perhaps not quite sure what else to try.

i noticed something that would produce an "script failed" error.
when you create a playlist with the letter "Ć" in it and try to open "playlists" on xbmc it would fail. I can confirm it is the letter, after changing the playlist to have only "C" it worked fine.

Hmmm..just tried the Navi-X Youtube feature and that works no problem at all videos work perfectly...so not sure if it's me or the Youtube plugin itself...i'm confused...lol. My desktop was wireless (pci card) but now hardwired thought it would make a difference it didn't. Any other ideas?

They go to xbmc's internal playlist which can be reached from the menuscreen when you're playing a video.
Playlist should have a queue folder, sadly theres no play all support so in order to play all items in a list, you first need to play the first item and then queue the remaining items in the list.

Hi could you send a log with the plugin's debug mode enabled? We might just be able to fix it then

Hmm, I cant really give any other advice, not really sure why it works in naviX maybe they're doing something different with regards to streaming. As I said before all our plugin does is hand over a video URL to XBMC, so any problems fetching that URL is entirely XBMC related. The fact that you can download the videos just fine shows us that its a XBMC issue since we control the download from python but not the playback of videos. This doesn't help you that much though

I'm not quite sure I'm following, what exactly is it you're requesting. Is it the ability to view your own playlists? or someone else's playlists?

I keep requesting this, please tell me if it doesn't make sense so i stop. but is it possible to please add queue right to the top of the context menu. i use a harmony remote and generally tend to queue a bunch of videos. i have to press menu, then scroll up to queue. gets tedious after a couple of videos. can you make it so when you press menu the first option is queue. i think it makes sense since its probably the most used menu item for alot of people.
