Oh. With r33004, i managed to play the 1080p file quite smoothly. But the version before that, I cannot play the video at all. And r33035, I also can't play the 1080p video, it either freezes the ATV, or the movie is extremely choppy. But most of the time it freezes. I just installed the 3.6.0 drivers, and updated xbmc to 33040. Will try to play the same video now and see what happens. - davilla - 2010-08-23 ds129 Wrote:Oh. When testing, keep good notes and do things in a repeatable manner. Also all video containers do NOT contain the same video format. So if you Launch XBMC, play a video, then play a different video and 2nd one has problems, what's different between 1st video and 2nd video. If one does things in a random manner, it's impossible to figure out what is going on. - ds129 - 2010-08-23 davilla Wrote:When testing, keep good notes and do things in a repeatable manner. I'm using the same 1080p video file for all the tests. The Iron Man 2 trailer. Would like to report that r33040 and driver 3.6.0 is now working great. The start of the video is a bit jittery as the video is trying to catch up to the audio, the rest of the show is smooth. But I only have the one short 1080p content, need to find a full length 1080p video. I also tested a 720p MKV file, and plays smooth as well. Thanks a lot davilla. Also, check paypal. testing file for all ? - muelli - 2010-08-23 Hello, i tested two files, the testfile from the download area of crystalhd-for-osx and a full lengh video. My problem is intermittent. One time the 1080p file plays fine, and another time XBMC crashes and freezes ATV. 720p file is OK throughout. I followed the instructions at the beginning of this post and thought i was doing well. I was questioning the quality of the Crystal HD card and did some checking. It seems that I don't have the drivers installed and the download under the launcher is no longer working. I tried following other links to driver installation but many of them are dead ends. Now I'm more confused than ever as to how to update the drivers. where should I start? Thank you in advance |
