I liked Confluence but i like aeon, and then again i liked mediastream_redux, so i have attempted to bring them together in confluence.

You can download the files from here http://www.azteconline.co.uk/skintest1.rar
just replace the necessary files in confluence either on the stable or latest svn it will work on both, just don't forget to back up first!
If anyone has any problems with it let me know, as i would like to develop this skin further

On thing that makes this look a bit weird (I noticed this on the home screen mod you got this from) is that it's never really centered. You can always see the beginning of the word to the far right. such as in your screen shot you can see "PI". It jsut makes it never look even.
You wanted complaints...you got em. :0

I really like the simplistic look of it by that screenshot. I agree on the minor point by slaveunit, it would balance it if it was showing the end of the item on the far left.

If you do have a code fix you might want to post it in the original mod for the horizontal menu.

code fix is complicated, and it's still not near perfect as the gap between the left word and middle word fluctuate depending on size of words. so sorry if you want the code please download, as i haven't finished.
