I believe you will, of course, and learn something too. I've downloaded this file OpenELEC-Fusion.i386-devel-r7517.tar.bz2 20,110,717 When I read through the install I am sorry to say that I have no idea how I install OpenElec I am almost ashamed for it :-( - F.Horst - 2011-07-20 15:57 @Robotica Great, I've done it! Thanks again can someone answer me, how can I assign static IP addresses?? - Robotica - 2011-07-20 16:10 F.Horst Wrote:@Robotica lol... it took you lesss than an hour from being afraid of Linux to a working AMD Fusion system based on Linux. However, it is still early development and not totally optimized as it can. Try to stay updated for the comming period. About network: there is an openelec adddon where you can enter network preferences.. - F.Horst - 2011-07-20 16:35 Robotica Wrote:lol... it took you lesss than an hour from being afraid of Linux to a working AMD Fusion system based on Linux. I'm fine now also assign a fixed IP address. A really great project! Keyword openelec-update, I must note something that my films and music are not deleted during an update? Or is my fear unfounded? - sraue - 2011-07-20 20:09 F.Horst Wrote:Keyword openelec-update, http://openelec.tv/installation/updating - F.Horst - 2011-07-21 11:34 sraue Wrote:http://openelec.tv/installation/updating prima

But for now there might be glitches with Linux (XBMC) and hardware acceleration (as stated in this thread). You can always buy a Zacate based HTPC now and use it with Win 7 (works great) and when the dedicated fusion -openelec comes out, you jump out to it. - RogerS - 2011-07-21 12:21 avpap Wrote:You can always buy a Zacate based HTPC now and use it with Win 7 (works great) and when the dedicated fusion -openelec comes out, you jump out to it. The costs of Windows 7 OS compared to the HTPC is rater high if you intend to use it only for a few months.... That's also the reason why I'm waiting to build a new HTPC.. - mbah.pande - 2011-07-27 08:30 I've download this is iso and runnin live 1. how to make ethernet card work my ethernet car is Atheros AR8151 2. how to make another programs like Firefox or skype work with this CD |
