Installed but does not show in xbmc-r33778-Dharma_beta2 - fredphoesh - 2010-09-17

Hello guys,

Im quite excited to find this Transparency skin... it seems to be just what I want in a skin...

ive downloaded it and put the Transparency! folder in C:\Users\mark\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\skin but it does not show in xbmc when I restart the app...

any ideas why? I am running xbmc-r33778-Dharma_beta2

Thanks

Mark.

You must put it in C:\Users\mark\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons and name the folder skin.transparency...

Skins are now addons Nod

Hi nuzela, thanks for the repsonse, but

the folder is
C:\Users\mark\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons\skin.Transparency!

as you say, but it does not show in the Settings>Appearance>Skin

What else to try?
Thanks
Mark.

What version of T! are you using?

Hi

v2.11... downloaded from the developer's site last night..

Just as a test, I installed another skin (this time via xbmc settings and not as a download) and that skin shows up, and is installed in a different folder:
C:\Users\mark\AppData\XBMC\addons

I copied and pasted the folder skin.Transparency! to that addons folder but it still does not show up...

I wonder if this skin is not compatible with Dharma_beta2? I see the developer page talks about it being compatible with a more recent SVN version (i have no idea what that is, and was hoping on NOT having to spend hours trying to add a skin...)

Tx
Mark.

v2.11 doesn't work with Dharma...you have to download the latest version from svn...
...or from this link --> http://passion-xbmc.org/downloads/?sa=downfile;id=91

...unpack it, rename to skin.transparency and put it in addons folder Nod

THAT WORKED!
Thanks mate, your help and commitment is much appreciated.
Cheers
