If i use XBMC's native scrapers and then exports my video library then the result is a folder.jpg.
In my opinion the skin should support the way XBMC do it, not how some third party tool do it.
If Qualar somehow can get support for both, fine, but folder.jpg must be the primary.

No it uses what is auto downloaded by XBMC. It does not look for files inside the folders that the video files are in.

is tehre anyway to get like a seperate section on your home screen. for example, i have a whole bunch of ripped wrestling dvd's. want to be able to just have a section on the home screen just labeled "wrestling". and have it right from there

In that it says there is Includes_Home.xml that needs to be edited, but in Rapier Qualar there is no such file.

I'm looking at that forum post, and there is none of that in the Home.xml. Did you code it in a different way? If so, what exactly do I edit? Already made the smart playlist..

All skins do it slightly different dependant on the look. You need to work your way through the code it is no help reading instructions for a different skin.

i added an anime section on my skin to seperate from my other tv shows.
had to add some code on the Home.xml file and added the images to the Textures.xpr file for the wording and just re used the video icon for the menu.
it works great! but unfortunately you lose the recently added and sub menus - which isnt much of a sacrifice for me.

You shouldn't need to lose the submenus.
