I first noticed the problem when I had just added the settng above. I have since added a second xbmc to connect to (on a windows machine) but have exactly the same problem since adding this. For reference the settings of that second connection are

Name: bedroom
IP: 192.168.0.5
Port: 8080
MAC:
Username: xbmc
Password: xbmc

I tried to use your settings, but I haven't problems, have you tried to restart iPhone?

- procrastinator - 2010-10-09

Just tried restarting. Didn't help though unfortunately

I should probably try updating iOS. I'm currently using 4.0.1. I might not be able to do this for a few days though. I'll get back to you once I've done it

ok, I found the problem for iXBMC settings with iOS 4.0 or higher.
Sorry for the inconvenience, and hope to resolve day to post the update on appstore

The new version of iXBMC 0.91 is on appstore (waiting for review)..

Fix Settings problems on iOS > 4.0
Fix some problems for big media library on Dharma
Fix minor bug.

I have been testing this out and it is working fairly well for me. It is the best remote I have used by far. There are a few things I have run into but will try updating before reporting something that may not be relevant anymore.

Will you be adding the ability to create custom buttons and sent HTTP commands? I'd want to add a few buttons to send commands to EventGhost to trigger Macros/Actions.

thx

Thanks Igotdvds and Prostuff1 Smile

Livin, you've had a fantastic idea, but first I want to get a good stability on all platforms.

After I can add the ability to create custom button and send, Http, Json or Telent/ssh command for control also other devices.
Also WOL is a feature that I will add that after (MAC in settings is not used, for now)

beebit,

I hope you can help: I have input the correct ip address for my windows 7 pc running xbmc, and ixbmc sees it, but says disconnected. I don't use a password to access this system, so I'm not sure what to input into the name and password fields of the settings page. Any suggestions?

Hi Search1990,
if you have a iPhone with iOS > 4, it's a bug, that I have resolved with new version 0.91 (awaiting approval from apple).
If you have a iPhone with iOS < 4 or iPad, it's possible that the problems is the firewall of windows7, you can disable it for try.
If you don't use password, you must only add to settings only NAME (what you want), IP and PORT, that you have set in XBMC.

I wait for good news Wink

OPS... I had read it wrong, what do you mean by "and iXBMC sees it", you can see XBMC information in application settings?

Beebit,

Thanks for the quick reply. I actually have both an original iphone and a 3gs with the most recent ios. You put me in the right direction. I had to change a setting in xbmc to allow http control. Now Connected. Going to play with my new toy now...

Thanks again!

D'OH!!! at the app store...go figure! Didn't figure it was there since you didn't put a price on the OP.

cheers

Good, but if you use most recent iOS, have you not problems with the settings into application?
