DejaVu Wrote:1) scroll bar of "coming episodes" not functioning -
I do not have any problems with the scroller at all - works perfectly in Chrome. I've literally passed on Firefox, it's going downhill rapidly.

Actually, I am also on Chrome (for Windows). Scroll bar shows, but I cannot use it to scroll down. Actually, I cannot scroll at all within the "coming episodes" widget".

DejaVu Wrote:5) Movie and TV show library do not show alphabetically in widget -
This I thought was also fixed - mine does.

No idea why mine does not?! One observation: when I click "current version" in MFP settings, I actually get a 404 error message from GIT.

DejaVu Wrote:You cannot hide the first entry (and make it empty), it breaks the widget - why would you want to delete the first entry? Replace it with your C:\ Root/ or USB Drive no?

Fair point. Issue is that I don't want it to be called "HTPC drive" an I cannot change the name of the first disk.

DejaVu Wrote:10 HDD's?!!? We did not really expect someone to have 10 HDD's and can see this angle was not approached. EASY PEASY FIX - Buy bigger HDD's! I have 6 x2TB's and am struggling to find things to fill them with now.

Actually, all 10 disks are 2TB and all 10 disks are 99% full... Talking about a massive collection here... ;-) Any chance to add a scroll bar or anything else to acommodate larger # of disks.

DejaVu Wrote:4) subsonic widget to ply video
Perhaps - but I think VLC Web Interface streamer would be far better, I think Subsonic's trial thingy for streaming has a time limit doesnt it?

I have no experience with VLC web interface, but found subsonic quite nice and convenient (also one less server running if using it for music anyways). The limit is for the API, which would be relevant for both audio and video. There is a $10 charge for using the API beyond the limit, which appears to be worth it. Even more so if MFP supports it :-)

anyone have a clue why my "now playing" widget lists the correct movie duration and the correct point in the movie that im currently at but always lists the title and plot for the first movie in a playlist?
all the controls on that widget seem to work and ive got all my other widgets working save for this one function of this widget

Firefox 6.0.2 has been pissing me off for weeks and upgrading to FF7 Beta didn't help anything, so I finally moved fully to Google Chrome (on Win7 x64). Anyway, I dumped my entire local MFP and just grabbed Deja's repo to configure from scratch.

It's probably something on my end, but after deleting the original MFP folder and copying your new one there, it seemed to take an extra long time before I got the Status Screen. Once I clicked continue (all green checks) it stated there was already a new update (maybe a bug? I have/had the latest, but it said "Last Updated Time: Date:") I haven't done any configuration yet, but told it to do the update anyway. It switched to the typical "program" page where Github should have been embedded however the page refused to load anything. When I removed the /programs.php? part from the URL it took me to a messed up version (see below).
Image
I know the Sickbeard issues, etc. are since I haven't configured anything, so I'm just wondering if you changed the default CSS 'skin' recently or if something else caused that.

I can't remember where else I was going with this post, so once the meds wear off I'll try to expand on this.

--Edit--
I finished the standard config via the interface and noticed a few things... first off, being prompted for the update when I grabbed the latest was my fault since when you grab the zip apparently you default to 'ahead of master' so ignore that. These next few may be a "Windows" only issue, but in "Config -> Programs" the little check mark for correct setup does not show for uTorrent (it stays the red X) which my guess has to do with needed /gui/ after the port number in the URL. Next... after I finished setting everything up, I clicked "Widgets" to go to the main screen however, when running MFP in a sub directory it drops back to the full root (all other Top Nav work fine, haven't checked Sub Nav yet). And the last one I noticed is I changed the order of the links for the top nav in the config and it DID remove the ones I didn't want, but did NOT move the others to the order I tried to set them in (moving Sab and uT to right after XBMC).

Quote:1 - Removed the forcing of Mobile Interface (I need confirmation for this).
I tried this with a few browsers on my iPad: (it DID bypass going to the mobile site in each case)
  • Mobile Safari - kind of broken (img 1)
  • Atomic Web - kind of broken (img 2)
  • Knowtilus Pro - trust me, don't bother

Update in the Settings page exists from first run because mfp does not know what commit you are til it updates. CP does the same thing, but it is a minor bug, I hope to update the commit number @ Servercheck soon.

From the screenshot, something is defo not right. Either the download failed or your folder was not cleaned out correctly. It might even be a conflicting config.ini if its too old. Theres also a few CSS files missing too.

Load up MFP/update.php to force an update and make sure you have write access. I've tried the suggestions in this thread about permissions, but the only way everything works properly in my case is using 777.

Sorry I didn't notice this post earlier, I already opened the edit window for mine and had it open while I did all the testing... I remembered CP does the same update thing and it's not that big a deal. As far as the screenshot, I had shutdown IIS (to avoid permissions/conflicts) and moved the entire directory into a backup folder, so when I copied the new version over it was into a fresh directory, plus I cleared the browser cache before going to the site with the new files. After I took the screenshot I was kind of pissed at another program that refused to respond so I rebooted the server, the site looks correct now (on the PC) but as you can see in my above edit, not so much on the iPad... in both of those shots, that's as far as the page would load before stalling out, that's why you see the progress bar in each since it doesn't fully load.
As far as permissions, the IIS_User account (as well as a few others) have full control of the directories used, so it should be the equivalent to 777.

I'm going to test this stuff on Windows 8 tomorrow just for the hell of it.

Just updated to Deja's latest repo. Looking great and solved quite a few of the earlier bugs. Thanks!!! Please see below updated list of bugs and feature requests:

Bugs
1) Program check does not work if reverse proxies are used (reverse proxies fully functioning, just the "program check" does not work)
2) user name and PW are openly displayed in the "coming episodes" widget on mouse-over
3) Widgets removed using "X" will show up again upon re-fresh/re-load. "Settings-widgets-activatewidgets" now fully working though
4) Harddisk settings doesn't work properly yet. I cannot rename the first entry in the list. Also (separate bug), when adding more than 10 disks, the "buttons" will go out of the screen view, so that I cannot save changes or include names/locations.
5) 1cm overlap between menu-bar on the bottom and content
6) Update function not working properly yet for me. "New version available" link leads to 404 error. "Update now" button leads to "an ERROR occured"

Feature requests
1) MFP displaying propely on ipad
2) Subsonic widget for audio
3) Subsonic widget to play video

6) Is to do with permissions. MFP does not have permission to delete perhaps. What OS are you using?

Updates are all linked to the last entry in the config.ini file (the commit number). If there is no commit number it will ask to update. If there IS a commit number and it's out of date, it'll ask to update. The New Version available link that is giving a 404 error is because the entry is empty and is sending you to Guthub's 404 error page yes?

If your on the latest version, you can just add the full current commit number (666d60d2a4bf1ec329299ba798ae67a44d3bad98) into the config and it should be fine til an update is available.

DejaVu Wrote:6) Is to do with permissions. MFP does not have permission to delete perhaps. What OS are you using?

Using Win7x32. Not sure whether update fails upon delete. "an ERROR occured" comes after a few seconds. "X" shows up next to "downloading latest version".

My guess is MFP does not have write access to the folder it's downloading to.
Do you have a password to login to windows?

I did not think this would matter though as the owner of MFP would be the same Windows User. It may also have something to do with Uniform Server's permissions to write to the directories.

No, don't have a login password for Windows. Also, update function works well with SB. But you may still be right that it has something to do with permissions (using .htaccess file to secure the directory). Anyhow, don't mind it that much. Manual update is fine for me. "My" other bugs are far more troublesome as they interfere with actual functions / usability.

I've made what I call a crude update that stops the request for updating on a new install.

Anyone know how to send a URL that updates the Commit number without the use of an iframe? I was going to use an invisible img tag, but I was not sure that was going to work -

Currently -
Code:
<iframe style='display:none;' src='update.php?update=true' height='0' width='0'></iframe>
would this work?
Code:
<img src='update.php?update=true' style='display:none;'>
What is the correct way?

just use file_get_contents or curl function in php as I said in the email. That's the way to go. Otherwise you will probably need javascript.

Did the latest git PVR revision break the json api again?
I'm going to guess https://github.com/opdenkamp/xbmc/commit/90a358cd1a985c07537dd8e5a25a03bf81d5a80b somehow broke it again.

If i do changes, they are not saving. It says it does, but when i return its the same like it was before. I'm using MFP on a NAS where the SQL is also located. Is it a configuration problem? XBMC is a nightly version from Sep09

I got the same issue.
I want to change the "Theme" but it doesn't save.

And does someone know how to change the "Coming Episodes" widget wide (2 collums) ?
