the same thing is going on with me but its when i clicked on Clean XBMC Video Library

- Celox - 2011-02-02

i never actually used "Clean XBMC Video Library" via MFP but i was just now trying it and i get "Error returned from call to widget. Error: Authorization failure" i never noticed that cuz i mainly used the "update" buttons which work.
what authorization does MFP in the config.php need?

im running debug now and trying to reproduce the crash problem for a bug report.

[Edit]
after nearly 24hours of debugging i was unable to reproduce the crash! so weird! Undecided
the only things i changed were some advancedsettings.xml in xbmc and setting the debug level to level 2

oh btw i noticed the comingEpisodes is not being grabbed since my last sickbeard update. but thats fine. it's "all work in progress" Smile

Help needed with setup - mwkurt - 2011-02-03

Hello all,

I have a few questions and probably need a lot of help. I am running windows 7 and am using the mysql database.

I have installed XAMPP. I downloaded MediaFrontPage and unzipped it to the following www directory that was installed when XAMPP was installed:

C:\xampp\php\www

Is this correct? I did not really know what this meant as far as where this www directory was:
"Copy all files to the web server directory eg /var/www/"

I have filled out my default config.php, and changed the name to config.php as well as changing the name of the default layout.php to default.php.

I entered the following in Firefox browser:
http://localhost:80/mediafrontpage/m
and got the following error message:

Object not found!

The requested URL was not found on this server. If you entered the URL manually please check your spelling and try again.

If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.
Error 404

Apache/2.2.17 (Win32) mod_ssl/2.2.17 OpenSSL/0.9.8o PHP/5.3.4 mod_perl/2.0.4 Perl/v5.10.1

Here is my config.php file: http://pastebin.com/UZHNv65S

Could someone possibly help me out?

Thanks,
Mark

I would say the best thing to do is follow this guide: http://www.spacemonkeynet.org/index.php/topic,95.msg881.html?PHPSESSID=0jgefla0ansj4tf5qdvlf68l27#msg881

I used it when I set it up and didn't have any issues.

Jason28,

Thanks for pointing me in that direction. I worked with it a little bit this morning and at least got the MFP page to come up with the various programs on the top task bar. I still have various errors on that page though. Namely, something about an error on line 220 in xbmcjsonHuh?.php. I am not at that pc at the moment and can't remember what the exact error was. I see about these errors when I get home from work today.

Doing a quick search of this thread, I see the same thing on post #344. I guess I have to check a curl setting in a php file.

Thanks again,

Mark

i'm not at home but i believe it's the first option, secured or something like that... you need to set it from false to true iirc.

I am getting the following errors. Can someone please help me out?

This is in "Recent TV":

Pretty much the same problem in each.

After looking things over, I am pretty sure that this problem has to do with my using a mysql database, rather than sqlite.

Here are my settings in the php.ini file. Can anyone see anything wrong?

/*
$xbmcdbconn = array(
'video' => array('dns' => 'sqlite:/home/xbmc/.xbmc/userdata/Database/MyVideos34.db', 'username' => '', 'password' => '', 'options' => array()),
'music' => array('dns' => 'sqlite:/home/xbmc/.xbmc/userdata/Database/MyMusic7.db', 'username' => '', 'password' => '', 'options' => array()),
);
*/

//Example of mysql connections

$xbmcdbconn = array(
'video' => array(
'dns' => 'mysql:host=localhost:3306;dbname=xbmc_video',
'username' => 'xbmc',
'password' => 'xbmc',
'options' => array(PDO::MYSQL_ATTR_INIT_COMMAND => "SET NAMES utf8")
),
'music' => array(
'dns' => 'mysql:host=localhost:3306;dbname=xbmc_music',
'username' => 'xbmc',
'password' => 'xbmc',
'options' => array(PDO::MYSQL_ATTR_INIT_COMMAND => "SET NAMES utf8")
),

);

Thanks,
Mark

thanks i tried that one but when i click the "clean" button nothing happens, even checked xbmc.log (on debug) and its not doing anything :confused2:

oh and btw xbmc crashed on me again when i was loading MFP. i saved the logs but i was unable to find a "xbmc_crashlog-[DATE]-[TIME].log" i do have an .xsession-errors and xbmc.old.log though. anyone know if those will suffice?

here is a partly quick copy and paste from the .xsession-errors which "hints to json".

Code:

Hello,

No one can help me with the errors I am getting when running this? Really would like to get this running properly.

My errors are 2 posts up.

Thanks,
Mark

- mwkurt - 2011-02-04

If I uninstall Xampp and all of the stuff it installs, what would I have to then install to get this working?

Would I just install, say, Apache, or are there other programs I would need to install?

Once again I am running windows 7, XBMC 10 and a mysql server.

Thanks,
Mark

- AWilco - 2011-02-05

mwKurt, the error appears to be in something called PEAR, which AFAIK isnt directly used by MediaFrontPage, so I don't know what's causing it.

can you try moving C:\xampp\php\PEAR to somewhere outside of C:\xampp to see what happens.
Basically, PEAR is making calls that are depreceated in PHP5, you could try updating PEAR by following the directions here: http://pear.php.net/manual/en/installation.getting.php

Celox: Something is up with up with your XBMC installation. It's crashing horribly when trying to open the settings database. Even if MFP was sending a malformed request to XBMC it should crash like that, I suggest you start a bug report in that forum, with both logs (BTW: xbmc.log is a log of the last session as long as your don't restart XBMC. Restarting XBMC moves this to xbmc.old.log and a new xbmc.log is started, so make sure you post the right one).

In other notes. On my version of MediaFrontPage the upcoming episodes from sickbeard didn't work any more due to formatting changes in sickbeard, I've updated the widget to work with the latest version of sickbeard. The source is available at https://github.com/AWilco/mediafrontpage

- AWilco - 2011-02-05

also mwKurt, it looks like you could write a widget for flexRAID, (although it may work natively with the hard drive widget in MFP), as it has a web client. It's an interesting project, might look at putting it on my server sometime.

ok guys i need some info and please go easy im a noob my ? is what do we need mysql for in my config i see

/*

there shouldnt have been any need to change anything for sickbeard. if anything just added the two new classes used to the css. which i already mention a week ago before the changes got pushed to master branch.

Seems to me like a create tool. Will go ahead and try it now Wink

However, I'm wondering wether the development has halter, or not? Smile
