Hebrew filenames problem - xb567 - 2010-10-22 I have many mp3 files and some of them are in foreign languages : Russian and Greece shows OK. If file name in Hebrew it shows little squares instead of letters. I use latest version of XBMC on Ubuntu 10.10 What should I do in XBMC settings to see filenames in Hebrew correctly ? - jhsrennie - 2010-10-22 A quick search for "hebrew" found lots of posts including http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=81836 if that helps. JR No help in the thread - xb567 - 2010-10-23 Hi ! I checked the thread and it's nothing helpful there. It says " set your charset properly and it should work. Some OS comes with no unicode support at all" I have Ubuntu 10.10 and I can see proper file names in Hebrew and other languages everywhere : in standard xterm, in Nautilus file browser, in Gnome commander (another file browser) but not in XBMC. If I can see Russian and Greek, sometimes japanese filenames everywhere else I suppose I do have Unicode file system . As I mentioned Russian and Greek filenames/directories shows OK in XBMC, so I don't quite understand what's wrong. Should I add fonts to XBMC ? Is is skin related : I tried to change charset to Hebrew but it doesn't solve the problem, It would be very helpful if somebody from XBMC tean can put a small doc regarding foreign languages usage. Solved - change fon from "Default" to "Arial" - xb567 - 2010-10-23 In a skin settings for Font I change it from default to arial RE: Hebrew filenames problem - Tsvika - 2015-10-04 Hebrew fonts for files. skins etc Settings -> Appearance -> Skin -> Fonts -> Arial Still works in Kodi Ver. 15 |
