In XBMC Nightly Builds, the loop option (Play theme in loop) does not work.
XBMC core related bug?

yeah, looks like it.
the repeat command becomes non-functional after a song is started by the script.

With Tv Tunes enabled, XBMC (dharma) crashes upon exit (from Tv Shows View) with Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library>Runtime Error!... Fault Module: python24.dll.
The last lines in xbmc.log with debugging on says:
04:15:44 T:9620 M:377061376 NOTICE: stop python
04:15:44 T:9980 M:377061376 INFO: msg: Fatal Python error: Py_EndInterpreter: not the last thread
When i disable the Tv Tunes add-on, XBMC exits gracefully.
Tried with two skins: Rapier 4.00 RC1 and Cirrus extended 2.06. Same crash.

Anyone??

I'm using Confluence and I am completely baffled at how to activate the add-on so that it actually works. Help please.

1) Videos > Video Addons > TV Tunes
run the script in order to download all the tv tunes

2) Settings > Skin > Play tv theme songs in video library
so the skin will playback the tunes when browsing your tv shows

smiffy1989 Wrote:Any chance of an option to change where it looks for the theme.mp3? They're on my unraid server currently and it freezes XBMC for a about 5 seconds while the drive that the theme.mp3 is on spins up. If I could store them locally or even on my cache drive (which is spun up all the time) I could avoid the freezes.

Thanks.

as requested & as promised, please test:
script.tvtunes-1.0.9v2.zip

let me know if there's any issues.
btw, the new location of the script is program addons instead of video addons.

I can't seem to get this script to work at all. I am using OPENELEC 1.0.2, and the Night skin. The script immediatly errors out with "failure". Anyone else have luck with Openelec?

openelec is hard to support atm.
they have a dedicated forum for script issues on their website.

I did the first part and it works just fine (always has). However, the "Play tv theme songs in video library" does not show up for me under skin settings. Any thoughts?

make sure you run a recent nightly build of xbmc.
the option was added to confluence about a month ago.

Possible to activate beteen shows? - dinosaurjr - 2011-11-06

Hi,

First of all, NICE WORK!!

I was wondering is there any possibilty to activate this when scrolling through the shows list (main TV shows list, when going up or down between titles)?

nope...

i doubt it'll be a nice experience when you quickly scroll through your tv shows.

Hi ppic,
Thanks for this nice plugin, however I found a minor bug, it's kinda general so instead of typing it all up again I'll give you this link that I wrote to the extrafanart plugin developer, I think that you will understand anyway, because the problem is exactly the same: http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=930984&postcount=174

All the best tuxen

Ronie,
Small question. Do i need to add this to my script as well?
We don't actually create filenames/folders using the tvshow/movie name. Only take the path taken from the JSON query using the path and create a subfolder for the extrafanart and download the fanart in it. The filenames do not contain illegal characters. Maybe you can clarify this a bit more to me Nerd

the latest beta (not yet in the repo) version comes with an option to store the tunes in a custom folder.

the script will create a subfolder for each tv show, using the name of the tv show.

since you can't use certain characters (and these differ for each OS) when creating files/directories, you'll run into trouble with shows like "CSI: Whatever"

to sum it up: you've got nothing to worry about
